Does anyone know if the US version will be censored?

I am just wondering if there is a store to avoid that may carry a censored version or not. I remember Wal-Mart having a poster hanging up a while back stating it is somewhat against M rated games or some garbage, even though I seen some M rated ones on the shelf.

Kind of a stupid question, but I am just seeing if anyone happens to know of a censored version here in the states.

Rockstar has a sense of humor, Seinfeld isn't funny at all.

Huh? he's like the king of 90's comedy...hard to argue with how much success he's had. he's funny in his own way but mainly as the co creator of the sitcom Seinfeld.

Awesome. You never know man. First the April push back, then the EA threat to buy it, then the stupid sign at Wal Mart, etc...

This game has made me on pins and needles a few times.

I do plan on playing the multiplayer when the game comes out but I am worried about a complete xbox live Meltdown because of the spike in gaming this game is going to cause.

Microsoft backing GTA 4 with Halo 3 scale ad campaign

The platform holder is spending big money to ensure gamers know the Xbox 360 version of GTA 4 is the one to buy.

Xbox Head of Gaming and Entertainment Stephen McGill has confirmed that the platform holder will be supporting the launch of Grand Theft Auto IV with a campaign on the same scale as Halo 3.

"Rockstar will naturally be doing their own campaign to launch what obviously will be a massive title for them, but Microsoft sees GTA IV as a fantastic title to showcase how great Xbox 360 is... what with it's amazing graphics & gaming experience, coupled with playing with your friends on Xbox LIVE, achievements and of course the exclusive extra episodic content for GTA IV that will be downloadable this Autumn and will only be available on Xbox 360.

"As such you can expect a large awareness campaign from us, showcasing how great GTA IV on Xbox 360 is, and what great value the Xbox 360 console is too. Our campaign is the same sort of scale as our Halo 3 campaign last year so you can expect to see and hear a lot about GTA IV on Xbox 360 over the coming weeks."

The campaign began this week with lifestyle press advertising - commercials will begin to run on TV from this weekend, continuing beyond the launch of the highly anticipated title.

GTA 4 is scheduled for release on April 29 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

so add the huge marketing cost to the 50 million MS already paid for exclusive DLC content. Wonder how much more they'd make off their investment.

but the DLC won't come out for months. So for now, the ps3 and 360 have the same experience, except for Live. I just think it's nice for people already owning or interested in a 360, but I don't really see DLC that's months away, driving 360 sales now more than what the regular game and appeal on Live will do. T

his game will be huge for both consoles. It'll take awhile to see which one did better, which will have to be done by looking at ther percentage of each console owners that bought it.

I think the sales will mirror almost exacly north america's install base for both systems. Seriously, who isn't getting this game?

A comedian who could be in the game... (I got this from another site, not sure if true or not might not even really be a spoiler but just incase) Nothing big to me. Never really seen his work .

dunno if its been already mentioned but in shortlist the free magazine in the UK. It claims Ricky Gervais is in GTA 4 performing three minutes worth of new sketches and some old sketches from fame in the comedy clubs.
Plus, he will also be involved in some other mysterious way.

Per Dookie's last post I wonder if the comedian(s) will be region specific. I mean the guy Dookie has listed as the comic is well known but not THAT well known in North America if you know what I mean.

I wonder if we can kill comedians? The one big name person that they mentioned (didn't say his name) they said we wouldn't be able to kill them. I hope we can kill the famous people too...maybe not though because if so they would be out of the game or just reappear or what?
