Re: Let's talk about... Grand Theft Auto 4
I haven't seen or heard from him. I saw him on OS last night and I figured he was going to post something, but nada. I am sure he has it but not sure why he has yet to post. Sorry folks...
You sir are correct.
Thanks for playing!
I just said I had it to show how easy it was for someone to say they had it, but we need proof. Even a guy like me who posts here all the time I would still need to show something so others would believe me.Comment

Re: Let's talk about... Grand Theft Auto 4
I have mine flat/sideways (that;s how you're supposed to have it, better for discs and less failures).
This RROD crap is reiculous. I had mine on last night for at least 6 hours straight. I played tons of cod4, and left it on in between while doing laundry and cooking/eating - that is not rare occurance either, in fact it's regular. I leave it on sometimes when my roomate comes in and wants to stream sports from a laptop to the TV, I'll play games for hours, then just replace the disk w/ a movie.
I GUARANTEE that i could have gta4 playing for 7 hours straight with no problem whatsoever. My dumb roomate has left it on overnight on a few occassions too. It will be fine people...
nice 2005 argument from MS you have there.
The real fact is, the 30 deaths are real and random. How people game or have their 360 set up is totally irrelevant. It has nothing to do with how long you play games or anything. One person could have one sitting on the carpet since launch, while other people can go through 3 in less than a year that were sitting on a ventilated dust free shelf.
No one cares that you can play games for 7 hours straight. I played endurance races on forza and had it running for about that long. It then died while playing a game for 30 minutes during lunch on another day. People have accepted that the RROD problem is real, I even got the 360 back after getting pissed off with it.Comment

you mean like with any product or service ever provided in the history of man? Of course people who pay hundreds of dollars for a videogame console are going to be vocal when they end up going through 3 or 4 consoles.Comment

XBL Prepares for GTA IV
"Last holiday we weren't properly prepared," Ingalls admits. "So we are going the extra mile with Grand Theft Auto IV..." Yeah, that was total marketing speak. But it got your ears perked, didn't it?
"The biggest step we've taken is to add in more server hardware, which will expand the service's capacity," Ingalls explains to us through email. (PR had explained earlier that he was "obviously very busy" this week.) "We have actually doubled our capacity for concurrent users over the last 2 months."

Re: Let's talk about... Grand Theft Auto 4
Heh, I always thought they were supposed to be vertical. I have a system from the 2nd or 3rd batch and despite having all sorts of random weirdness, it's still chugging along. I leave it on all night sometimes because I fall asleep or forget about it, I leave it on for hours idle while I'm watching TV, and it's sitting vertically... It would seem that having the disc laying down would be better for it and would require less effort, but vertical works better with my space, and that's how I always saw them in ads. Plus, half of the vents are covered if you lay it down -- seems like that would contribute to RROD issues.
Can't wait! I sent back my last GameFly game and cleared my queue of everything but this game, so hopefully I get lucky and it's sent to me. The more likely scenario is that GameFly will just sit there for 5 days and never send me the game and I end up buying it from Best Buy instead...Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: Let's talk about... Grand Theft Auto 4
Yeah, I have it on -- but it'll still stay on for 6+ hours several times a month. I'll play for 2-3 hours and then leave it idle for 5 hours and go back to it later i nthe day sometimes. Probably a bad habit, but I figure my system would've **** the bed by now... just surprised that it's still hanging in there.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment
