re: Grand Theft Auto IV
I'm almost through the main storyline, and just wanted to mention some random stuff:
Spoiler1) It's the best story I've ever seen in a video game. The characters make it seem so real. I genuinely felt bad for Roman in the "Roman's Sorrow" mission. At the beginning of the game, I felt bad for Nico getting caught up in Roman's mess, but Nico has caused a lot more damage overall. They really flipped my view on each character as the game progressed.
2) The different feel of each island is amazing. Algonquin is definitely my favorite. I genuinely hate Alderney.
3) The Manny storyline resolution was startling, as others here have mentioned. Definitely a "holy crap did they really just do that?" moment.
4) Three Leaf Clover has got to go down as one of the best missions of any game ever. I needed a break after I was done with that one. I felt like I had just ran a marathon.
5) Anything involving multiplayer is loads of fun. Playing deathmatch with rocket launchers on happiness island was great, and so was shooting up the prison. Cops n Crooks is great with a good group of people.
I guess I could go on, but you get the drift.Xbox Live Gamertag: MizzouBrentComment

re: Grand Theft Auto IV
Got a question for the guys who've beaten the game already.
SpoilerHow many missions in total were there, and at what percentage were you when you beat it? I'm at roughly 61 missions, and 50'ish%. I'm guessing I have about 15% or more to go before I beat the game, the rest is finding birds, finishing races, etc. I'd just like to know roughly how many more missions I have.Comment

Kill alot of hoes, find some armored trucks, stake out ATM machines. When someone withdraws cash, finish em' off. Just a few suggestions.Comment

re: Grand Theft Auto IV
^ good question, but not sure theres any other way besides side missions and killing people.
For those who want to know what perks you get from the characters heres the list.
SpoilerRoman likes to go bowling, play darts, go drinking, eat, play billiards, go to shows and to strip clubs. Reach a friendship level of 60%, and you can call Roman to send you a cab from his business. Best of all, you don't have to pay the driver. Of course, he never likes that, so be sure to hear what amusing things he has to say to you about it!
Brucie likes to bowl, drink, eat, go to strip clubs, shows, helirides and boating. Getting his friendship level up to 70% allows you to call him to dispatch a helicopter to your location.
Dwayne likes to go to strip clubs, eat, drink, go to shows and bowl. If you get his friendship level up to 60%, you can call Dwayne and he'll send you a car full of gang members that will follow you and help you out as you need them.
Little Jacob likes to play darts, go to shows, play billiards, drink, eat, and go to strip clubs. If you get his friendship level up to 60%, you can call Little Jacob and he'll drive a car to your location full of guns that you can purchase from him at discounted prices.
Packie likes to go to strip clubs and shows, play darts, drink, bowl and play billiards. If you get his friendship level up to 75%, you can call Packie and he'll provide you with a car bomb that you can use as you need it.
At a certain point in the game, there will be a forced mission where you will have the option to do one of two things. Do the one where Playboy X's location is on your radar, you'll get a nifty new save house and the outfit that the character in GTA 3 used. The mission for this is: The Holland Play.
At a certain point in the game, there will be a forced mission where you will have the option to do one of two things. Do not do the one marked as "Francis" - instead, do the other one. From there on out, you will have Francis' special ability of calling him to loose your wanted level. The mission for this is: Blood Brothers.
I need to try Dwayne and Packie.XBL: DTX3

re: Grand Theft Auto IV
Yep, found one last night with a good bit of cash in it. Ofcourse I didn't have any grenades, or any RPG's. So it took alot to get it to finally explode. What I did was take it to the old warehouse district where noone was. Few good hard hits into the building, and she was on fire. I just sat there, and watched the explosion as the screen filled with the glowing green.Comment

Do you ever get to use an RPG in the single player? Can you buy them from a weapon's shop?
I've only ever used them online.Comment
