It is PS only and it cover multi-player issues. No word on exactly what.

Nor any word on a 360 patch or any word on a offline 360/PS patch.

I believe its for the freezing issues. That R* programmer said it was coming.

On 7 May, as reported earlier by Eurogamer, Rockstar and Sony released a patch for the PlayStation 3 version of the game to improve the multiplayer experience. According to developer Rockstar, the update prevents GameSpy's servers from being overloaded and therefore reduces the impact on those servers that were causing the game to stutter and lock up

Interesting....the 360 one had freezing issues too, didn't it?

Patch is 18 MB, took no time at all to download and install. Haven't played it yet, I'm in the middle of something else at the moment.

Is this supposed to fix the freezing that caused many to have to sign out of their PSN prior to playing? I would like to be signed in when I play so I can link my stats to the Social Club, if that ever works, but I dont want to do a bunch of hunting for pigeons only to lose my progress when it freezes.

Before I got the patch I couldn't even boot up the game if I was logged online... I wasn't able to play multiplayer as well.

I downloaded the patch and now can access the game while logged on and I also played a few games online.

I think the "freezing" issues while logged online during single player will have been fixed as well.

Good Luck too all you guys with the PS3 version. Hopefully this does the trick.

Excellent news! I'll be on later tonight. I've avoided on-line multiplayer since Saturday night. Time to hop back on.

Have played two seperate times today while actually being logged in and never had any freezes of any kind. This game is getting better and better as I go along, the stunt jumps are killing me, but other then that Im enjoying every second of it.

the 360 issue isn't able to be updated like the ps3 problem was. There was a problem on their side for the ps3 version. The 360 GTA problems are with bad 360's, dying drives, or bad disks. My disk almost always has trouble starting up, even gave me the "wipe this with a towl" message during a mission. I own no other games that do this.

lol wow. Im not sure why discs have so many dde type errors on the 360. It's very annoying and one of the main reasons i gave up on playing sports games on it.
