Lack Of Video Game Leisure Time As You Get Older

Does it bother anyone else that there just AREN'T enough hours in the day to get as much gaming as you once got when you were younger?

Right now on my gaming plate:
GTA (doesn't get played because of the playoffs)
College Hoops (#1 on my playlist right now)
NBA 2K (#2 on my playlist)
Fire Pro Wrestling (on and off for 2 years now)
Call of Duty 4 (#1 on my playlist on the weekends)

Then I have games like Fable, FF7 that I am in desperate want to play but just don't have the time

And I even want Oblivion, but I know that won't even work.

I hate it man, working, having a "life", and the NBA Playoffs don't help either
    Concrete evidence/videos please

Every day at work I think the same thing. Back in the day, I would've played season upon season of Franchise modes. Now I'm lucky if I get through one season on Madden!
I've thought about trying to get work let me work 4 days a week at 10 hours instead of 5 days at 8. They allow some people with kids to do it to save on daycare, but maybe I could use rising gas prices as an excuse. I'd just need to get up a 1/2 hour earlier, take a "working" lunch, and leave 1/2 hour later. Then, every Friday, with the wife at work, would be GAMING DAY! And when we have kids, it would be father/son (or daughter) bonding day.

I can relate. I can't even get through a season of Madden with work and my son now. I was a RPG fanatic now I play maybe the first few hours and maybe never get to pick it up for months. Its to the point when I finally do get a chance I don't know what to do or where I'm at in the story. Its sad when you grow up. I remember them days where I would play Madden for like 12 hours a day and love it. Now that's just a memory!

LOL@ father/son (or daughter) bonding day. Good idea, but it will take you at least 4-5 yrs after your baby's birth for that to work out the way you want (unless your playing the Wii of course, then you can knock off a yr).
My daughter is 10 and she needed constant attention until she was about 3(terrible twos lasted until she was about 3 1/2 yrs old). THEN I couldn't play games b/c SHE wanted to go outside or do some other activity b/c gaming did not interest her at all and she wanted daddy's constant UNDIVIDED attention.
The only gaming I got in when she was little was when she either went to bed or when Teletubbies were on TV.
Either way, I give you credit for creativity and dreaming BIG .

Oh and FYI, I'm 30 yrs old, a family and business man, and still to this day, if I want to play video games, I have to sacrifice some sleep in order to do so.
I have been playing some Mario Kart on the Wii lately since my daughter, her lil brother and sister like to play that game...

I'm probably giving up on gaming after we have kids since I struggle to find time now. I was talking about the bonding day for doing other things (going to the park, etc.).

I'm doing ok on gaming time. I usually have at least an hour and a half each weeknight of "alone gaming time" to play and plenty of time on the weekends for gaming, and that is enough for me. Maybe one day if my wife and I decide we want kids that would probably limit the time a lot, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Same problem here, but I'm so old that I suck at these games now so it doesn't bother me as much as it does some of you younger guys.

Man, I think about this all the time. There are some weeks where I can't even squeez in a game with work, the playoffs being on, or bball leagues. It's scary cuz I'm not even married yet or have kids. Right now its hard for me to even play GTA because it's so time consuming. I'd rather just play College Hoops & FIFA.

I'm actuall looking forward to retirement and whatever system is out then. Hopefully my hand-eye cordination won't be shot to hell by then. Waking up at 6am for no damn reason other than to play NCAA2056.

I apologize Boom, I must have read your post wrong. Not that I was bashing you or anything, just saying it wasn't as easy, so to speak, as it sounds. But hey, a day in the park w/ your kids is much more satisfying than a day sitting in front of your TV playing video games. You'll see...
