My gaming time has gone WAAAAYYYYYY down. I still don't have a gun in GTA 4, yet. Sad, but true.

Re: Lack Of Video Game Leisure Time As You Get Older
I feel you all. Me and the ol lady bought a house recently and I been remodeling, which takes all my time, then work 40 hours a week, then weekends with doing stuff with other couples. So I get like 3 to 4 hours a week to try and do something.
But the weekends when the ol lady goes out of town (like this weekend, wedding). I get to game all weekend till tuesday..............I AM STOKED!!!

Re: Lack Of Video Game Leisure Time As You Get Older
I have the gaming time I just usually don't choose to use it during the week...Last night I got home, watched the first 2 periods of the Wings game, went and did a group tennis clinic for an hour and a half. Then I watched Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother, along with House. By that point it's 10-11ish and I'd be tired and getting ready to get up early for work.
I could skip tv, working out, tennis, etc but it's stuff I'd rather do. I fit gaming in when I'm bored and have a lot of free time nowadays I guess.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Lack Of Video Game Leisure Time As You Get Older
I am in the same boat, just can't find the time some days. Sometimes it sucks, but life is good so no worries. I wish I could play GTA more as I know some people have already finished and I am only 19% through it.
With work, working out, and life I get too tired to sacrifice sleep although some nights I don't get as tired and will stay up until midnight to game in those situations.Comment

My wife's going to be out of town this weekend too (visiting her aunt), so I'll be putting in a good bit of gaming time, in between doing yard work and other stuff around the house.Comment

I have very little time for gaming and I don't even have a family. Couldn't imagine having time to do any gaming if I had rug rats running around.Comment

Re: Lack Of Video Game Leisure Time As You Get Older
I have way more time to play video games at 30 than I did at 20. I graduated college and don't have to go to school and work at the same time anymore.
Plus I work 4/10's...so every weekend is a 3 day weekend. I also have an awesome girlfriend who is studying for med school and sits next to me on the couch while I play. In fact some days I play too many video games and get bored!- The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good.Comment

Re: Lack Of Video Game Leisure Time As You Get Older
Man GTA just had some BAD release timing. I haven't played GTA for more than 6 hours total.
And I know I have been on COD4 for triple that time
Man in college; I would come home and turn on 2K7 and go to WORK man
Have all got damn day to play cause I didn't have any afternoon classes.

I know what you mean. Even at 22, there's a huge difference between the ammount of time I had now compared to when I was 16-20.
Just last week though, I had a 10 hour marathon of College Hoops 2k8 and it was wonderful. It really felt like the good ole days, taking out half a season in one night.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: Lack Of Video Game Leisure Time As You Get Older
great thread DC. Totally agree, with work and fam it is damn hard to find time to play. Count me in the sleep losing camp because midnight and beyond is the time I play, just too much else going on before that unfortunately. Those who cannot hear the music think the dancers mad - Chinese ProverbComment

Re: Lack Of Video Game Leisure Time As You Get Older
I have to sacrifice some sleep, especially working 12 hr. shifts at night. I can't even play GTA4 when my baby is awake, so I'm lucky to get in an hour or so a day. I can honestly say that I love being a father, but I can not wait until my son is old enough to run some serious game with pops.(Tristan will be 2 in June)Comment

Re: Lack Of Video Game Leisure Time As You Get Older
I don't have the time I used to now that I have a one year old, but I still get to play pretty regularly. I don't mind doing baby duty if the wife wants to go out with the girls or whatever, so I can still get in some decent time. I just finished GTAIV.Xbox Live Gamertag: MizzouBrentComment

Re: Lack Of Video Game Leisure Time As You Get Older
I spend tremendous amount of time thinking about playing, then when I get the time, I am either too tired, or there is something else I need to do. I have the ideal setup too: my kids are at the age where they play on their own, my wife totally accepts my gaming, but it just doesn't happen.
You know, gaming is like sex, think about it all the time, but it happens far too less for my liking...you married guys know what I am talking about:wink:Comment
