Re: Rock Band 2
Wow. I just got this game for the Wii. It is a total blast. My daughter and I are having a lot of fun with this. The drums add so much to this kind of game. Never having played it before, I wasn't sure if it would meet the hype. It definitely has. Now, I just can't wait for the DLC. I need more classic rock. I haven't heard of half of the newer stuff. Some is pretty good though.Mario Kart Wii: 1203 9969 5095

Re: Rock Band 2
Ugh, this sucks. Why couldn't I atleast get some kind of sign via a ring.
Question is: I only have 3.3GB left on my current harddrive and I've been wanting to upgrade to 120GB.
Should I just not worry about sending my current 360 back to Microsoft and having to pay $100+ and just get an Xbox Elite instead? That way, I'd get a brand new system and get the 120GB with it. I'd probably spend about $150 more but I'd atleast feel good knowing it's newer.
Besides, I've got $75 at Xmas to Best Buy so that'd help ease the pain.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: Rock Band 2
Honestly, if I had to choose between getting my current one fixed, or going out and getting an Elite, I'd get the Elite in a heartbeat if I could do it financially. That way you have a little more confidence that its gonna last you, and you get the new HDUgh, this sucks. Why couldn't I atleast get some kind of sign via a ring.

Re: Rock Band 2
That's what I'm thinking. I just realized I get a wireless controller (which I've been needing) with the Elite so it's an even better deal.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Keep an eye out on http://www.cheapa**gamer.com and their forums. You'll occasionally see deals on the HDs. I think it was either Circuit City or Target that had them at $99 for a whileComment

Re: Rock Band 2
Something just happened with my drums. I was playing a song, then I was hitting the set, but nothing was registering. I looked down, and it was acting as if it was trying to sync up but couldn't. I tried new batteries, but still the same thing. I restarted the game, re-synced and everything... same deal.

I haven't had that problem come up for nearly two weeks, though. I bought new rechargeable batteries, taped a piece of cardboard to the inside of the battery compartment door, and I try to separate the USB dongles for the wireless drums and guitar (when using both at the same time) as much as possible. I don't know which (if any) of these things helped to correct the problem, but it sure seems to have worked.Originally posted by rspencer86Do any PS3 players with the wireless drum set (the one that comes in the RB2 box set) experience occasional disconnects with the drums? A friend and I were playing tonight after getting the game for Christmas and the drums were disconnecting from the dongle quite frequently. The game was not bringing up a disconnect message... the song would continue but the drums would not work. The power lights would remain on on the drum set but the red light on the drum USB dongle would start flashing (indicating that it was no longer synced up). The only way to get the drums to resync was to flip the power switch on the drums off and back on again.
I searched online and this seems to be a common problem, a lot of people suggested that it might be due to the batteries jarring loose. I'm not entirely sold on this idea, as I tried taping some cardboard to the inside of the battery compartment cover to help them maintain proper positioning and that helped a little bit but we still experienced occasional disconnects. Anyone here have ideas or have had this problem before?Last edited by rspencer86; 01-13-2009, 08:50 PM.Ryan Spencer

Crap, I don't want to have a crappy workaround like that. I might as well order a new drum kit (though I'm already on my replacement kit).Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
