Me, dk and some random guy played tonight online, it was really fun.

I sang, Dk on guitar and other dude on drums. I think we played 6-7 songs, GSed two of them (one of them we broke 1 mil)

I think us OSers should start up a couple of bands. Maybe have a rivalry going on.

I call Bornindamecca as our drummer!

I'm down to play sometime, though on expert all I can do is play bass, or drum a "good number" of the songs. But I think I can play every song but GGaHT and maybe like three or four others on bass.

Don't even have a Gamestop here. I got my $22 at Blockbuster wich I guess is $3 more than Gamestop if it's being put towards RB2.

Yeah, Gamestop gave me close to $21 for RB1 today. That was with their 20% bonus (LOL!) and my 10% Edge Card.

Yeah, Gamestop gave me close to $21 for RB1 today. That was with their 20% bonus (LOL!) and my 10% Edge Card.

What less popular songs?

If you're talking about RB2 on disc songs, they did a great job of mixing known hits with lesser known songs.

I suspect that if they were DLC they wouldn't sell very well.

As opposed to any of the 20-30 songs for Metallica,AC/DC and GnR people that even don't listen to them normally know and often like anyway. (Unforgiven,Shook Me All Night Long ,Paradise City)
10-20 for Dylan and Nirvana. (Like A Rolling Stone,Come as You Are)
5-10 for Rush,Pumpkins and RATM. (Spirit of Radio,Bullet with Butterfly Wings,Guerilla Radio)
Been Caught Stealin' for Jane's Addiction.
Impression that I get for MMBT,one hit wonder without the hit?
Loser for Beck.
The Joker or Take the Money and Run or Fly Like an Eagle for Miller.
I Want You to Want Me for Cheap Trick.

All of wich would probably sell a lot more than the on disc songs if they were DLC with MAYBE the exception of RATM and Pumpkins wich might sell about the same.

Let there be Rock probably sells 35,000-60,000 at DLC just cause it's AC/DC,Shook Me All Night Long sells 100k+ easy,stick the likely lower seller on the disc and get more money from the famous song for DLC but still being able to promote that you've got the band??

I certainly see what you're saying but I think people that buy DLC are musically smarter than you give them credit for. Sure, there will be the crowd that will look at the title and blow it off but I think alot of people would atleast listen to the preview and most likely get it, even if it's just because they recognize the band name.

Personally, I'm glad they are putting in some of the lesser known songs while still putting in classic knowns (Livin' On A Prayer, Carry On Wayward Son, Any Way You Want It, Eye of the Tiger, Man In The Box, Pinball Wizard, etc)

Besides, you have to think that bands often have a say in what gets put on the disc or not. They might want one of their lesser known songs to be heard instead of the played out song everyone knows.

I mean, I hope you're right in thinking that they'll release more songs from those bands but I'm not one that thinks it's a bad thing that we're getting these songs.

The developers said that sometimes less popular songs go in because they are better within the band concept. Harmonix is always trying to pick the best mix of bass, guitar, drums and vox from a band's library.

Though I have to say, I thought the songs you guys listed are pretty popular, lol. Didn't Mountain Song have a really popular video?
