You can continue to raise your skill points past level 30 by completing feats. Every 100 feat points gives you 1 skill point. It is really useful if you want to say... Learn another weapon skill and train some points in it for the innate boosts or combos.

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
Ok cool. I haven't noticed anything ever pop up and say that I got a "feat" point. How are those earned? Is that something I'm getting when I complete one of the mission objectives?

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
You can go into your UI then go over to the section labeled feats, there are feats for things as easy as exploring, other feats can be things like completing a certain set of armor etc etc.
In your feat section it will show you how many more you need to get to your next 100 feat points and also show you which feats you have done already / completed (they are highlighted in green) vs the feats you have yet to accomplish.
Hope that helps you man.Comment

Yea it has to have popped up for you a few times. It will say something like So & So completed a feat! Then name of said feat.

Back to the multiplayer aspect of the game, so I can get help from randoms in my missions? I see all the guys online playing when I'm around town doing objectives, but what about when I head into a "boss lair" like when I had to take on Grodd or Queen Bee? I was always by myself in those situations, can I bring people along with me to help with those?Last edited by aukevin; 02-28-2011, 04:37 PM.

yeah that helps a lot, thanks. I'll go over that list and see what I can do about completing more feats.

You just need to make sure you are grouped with whoever you want to go in with you in those instances. Grouped people can tackle those "inside jobs" as I call them together.
But later on, once you get the challenges of a lot of those same missions at level 30 you need to do them solo unfortunately, and often they are harder (ie: all the mobs inside are lvl 30 usually). But by then you would have gotten your mentors end mission and done a few duos & hard alerts as well so your weapon & gear may be up to the task.
I love doing those story line missions (the inside job ones) so if ever you need any help lemme know and I'll gladly go in there and help you pummel those foes! I don't need the gear or loot either so I'll roll pass and you can retain your spoils of battle hehe.
All the final mentor missions (Batman, Supes & WW) have been opened up to everyone so maybe sometime someone from OS can help me do the Batman one, I love the look of the head piece and want one.
I actually still need help myself on one of the inside ones, a level 29 one involving Brother eye & the OMACS. I think it is the only left I have not done that is a regular pre 30 mission.
BTW here is my new sig for the Sony boards that some nice guy made me!
It sports my character's two most often used looks.Attached FilesLast edited by Boltman; 02-28-2011, 06:33 PM.Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
I soloed the Brother Eye one over the weekend, but it was kinda rough lol...somehow survived
I need to try adding you again to my friends list, I may have misspelled your name or something. Now that I'm almost 30 I'll be more useful at the end as well, though once I hit 30 I need to look into what I need to respec more effectively (I have a few powers I'll never use)Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Oh and mgo, you bastard! I'm jealous
You are going to need to run that with me sometime, in fact either of you or both of you heh.
Regarding mics, I'm sure you already know but they really only work best if we are grouped in the same group (and even then they sometimes glitch and don't work). I also have a keyboard in case I need to talk/type through /tell or whatever.
Oh and send me a friend request on PSN as well (in case that's what you originally meant). It is Boltman33Comment

I'll gladly run with you guys anytime you need me for anything. Name again is Ruckuus. I do have a mic as well and I always use it. For the friend request I think I need to be on at the time you add me to your in game friends list (I'm not sure of that though). Either way, I will be on a bit later and possibly late tonight as well.

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
I just got my first T1 Tank piece last night!! On another note though, it seems that the more tank gear I have gotten the worse my character has been, the first time I did duos I ran through all of them, this has been with random players, but ever since I've upgraded my gear to be more tank oriented I'm been getting my head beat in. My character just loses life quicker, I don't know what I am doing wrong maybe it's the weapon change from brawl to using a staff that was much better stat wise and a tank role staff.Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
Not close at all I have only 6 mark of distinction (I think that is what it's called) but I have just recently got into doing Duo's and I can still only tank ace and area 51 alerts on hard mode, but not comfortably enough since I am trying to figure out a good build to keep from being smacked around...I should have went with ice tank fire tanking just doesn't feel right for me lolComment
