Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
It sounds like they really want to keep providing monthly content, which is probably what hooks me once I hit 30. I like running new missions, alerts, etc.
I enjoy the cutscenes and everything, helps me start to learn more about the universe.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
The missions are quite a bit more difficult for controllers & healers at about 27 through 30. If you need help on any or all of them feel free to hit me up. I've been 30 for a bit now but I'm always down to help an OSer, even more so because your a healer!Comment

Your on the Birthright server like us, right?

And I may be incorrect about my lvl. Been awhile since I hopped on, cod and dead space been occupying me for now.

I am a level 11 damage dealer trying to solo Harley Quinn, but am having some trouble. Do I need to level up or is she hard to solo?DON'T PANICComment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
She is a bit tough you can either gain a few levels then come back and whoop her or you will need better strategy against her. When she starts to get whirling and spinning just try to keep your distance, once she stops spinning and she is dizzy, lay into her. Don't worry about her thug henchmen mobs, the cops will deal with them.Comment

I had a ton more trouble when you had to fight a team of 4 individually (they were heroes who were mesmerized, i forget the team name). It was 4 tough battles in a row, really taught me how to block and combo better lol
I hit 15 last night and it was so fun. I got to help Superman lolNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Yeah, I got her to where it was just her and me (no henchmen), in the area near where you enter, and I just kept my distance when she'd spin.

Does blocking actually do anything, cause for me it hasn't besides rolling out of the way of ranged attacks.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
You will learn to use it and rolling more often as you go up in level especially any bosses or mini bosses at 30. You still take damage, but much much less. If you don't time it right when a boss is about to drop his (warning included lol) huge attack you can be one shot quite easily if your gear isn't top notch.
I just did the Area 51 Hard alert with 3 guys in our league (two of these guys are in almost full Tier 1 & Tier 2 gear) and I realized fighting the very last boss that even if blocking sometimes they will still one shot or two shot you.
It happened to me and I had to fly back across the map and get back inside the ship for the last battle lol.
I picked up a sweet Staff that has 80+ DPS so I stopped using my brawling gloves and put some points into Staff and man does that thing pack a wallop.Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
I wanted to add something for others who haven't gotten the game: I have played a tiny bit of WOW prior to DCUO and that is the extent of my MMO experience. I am very narritive driven as a player, so if a game doesn't grabe me with a story I am usually not interested. However, DCUO is kind of like potato chips...I can't eat just one. I find myself going back for more. Just one more quest....every day making sure I take a trip to the vault to try and win something cool...wanting to level up when I am oh so close to the next, etc. In general I am opposed to buying a game for $60 and then paying a monthly fee, but I am this close to doing it.
I don't know if that will help anyone who is on the fence, but I wanted to post it anyway.DON'T PANICComment

That grind isn't there as much, each quest line has 4ish outdoor stuff then a fun dungeon to go clear out and defeat the boss.
In that respect, along with the combos and general "action" gameplay, it's way different than WoW (a game I enjoyed, but just wanted a change of pace).
I wasn't expecting much from this, but it's great having a MMO on PS3. I got a quality keyboard for it too, so now I can type lol
I just dinged 20, though I'm out of solo quests. Should I look at police stations or what to find new major quest lines? Or just try an alert?Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
