this mega man is based on MM2, which is why Mega Man lacks the ability to slide or charge shots. Conveniently, Proto Man has those powers, and can be had for DLC.

OMG, that had just about everything. My personal favorite was the "death by offscreen respawn" starting at 1:07 - that one had me rolling because game developers would be shot if we ever saw that in a current game. And those @#!@#@!#@!##$@!# disappearing blocks...

Most of us have forgotten how easy today’s titles really are. Play fifteen minutes of Mega Man 9, and you’ll be violently awakened from the dream that has you thinking you’re actually adept at video games. Mega Man 9 is almost unbelievably hard at times, especially when considering how much of each level you’ll have to replay after dying. Checkpoints? Mega Man 9 don’t need no stinkin’ checkpoints.

I downloaded the demo last night, and couldn't get passed the first pitfall after nine tries. I got pissed and went to sleep.

Man, I didn't realize how much I suck at video games.

B/w this, Wipeout and another great game I've been looking forward to, I'll be quite busy!

Hard.

6 masters down, 2 to go. The first one took the longest, as it always does - gotta use the arm cannon. After you've got a special weapon, it's just trial and error figuring out which boss it hits hardest - they always have a weak point.

Oh and if you're just trying to get through the game, USE THE STORE! Bolts are plentiful, and with enough energy tanks in stock you can beat anything.

The stages are the toughest I've ever seen in an 8-bit MM game. Can't wait to see what the Wily stages look like.

Ha. That's just what I wanted to hear though!

I've beaten every single 2d scrolling MM game up to 6. Good to see them go to their roots...

Hopefully I will have some time to put in with it tonight.

The MM games were always difficult, at least in my opinion.

If I get this it will probably be for the Wii just because I would eventually love to have all of the MM games on one console. Does anyone know how many of the other older ones are available on the VC? I'm pretty sure I've seen the first two or three?

I have to say I am in gaming bliss. I only wish this were available for the PSP as well.

Never thought I'd find myself being pulled away from NBA 2k9 just to play Mega Man!

Why aren't all, or most PSN games available for remote play at least on the PSP? This could have been an instant hit on the PSP, like you said. Even in remote play.
