Online is dead because it got way over looked by other games that came out in the same time period. That and the fact most stores didnt have an abundance of copies of it at launch either and pretty much no marketing either.

I came across this game about 2 months ago by accident while I was looking for another game LOL. The turn off for most people is the fact it is a much slower paced game where you really have to move slow and plan things out before you do anything.

I love the game, and lament that more people in my circle didn't buy into it. Several of us played OF1, that graphical mess for the original xbox, and had a ball, but these same folks didn't touch #2.

Ah, well. Got a little bit of co-op out of a few of 'em for awhile, which is also great, but will have to keep enjoying it alone, I suppose...

Yeah pretty much was my situation, most of my friends didnt touch the game because they were so use to COD play style. And you simply cant play this game like COD or you will die pretty fast.

And online is TOTALLY DEAD. Has been since launch. You have more people playing Brothers In Arms: Hells Highway online then this game.

Patch is live and DLC confirmed for Monday (360 only). PS3 users looking at another week or two. No fix list for the patch yet, will release alongside the DLC, but players are mentioning sharper graphics, better sound, and keener AI, among other things.

Played this last night. Damn this game is just like the OLD Ghost Recon games on the PC. Very cool, but I'm already getting owned on the second mission. As soon as I blow the SAM I got all hell all over me, keep getting wiped out like 10 seconds after the checkpoint.

Yeah get used to sprinting as much as you can. Also a perfectly viable tactic is to run away. You don't have to kill every enemy to progress in this game. Its often better to avoid combat as much as possible.

I'm up to the final mission and have enjoyed it for the most part. I'm only playing on normal though, I've tried hardcore and loved not having the HUD but I know I would get far too frustrated with the absent checkpoints.

That second mission can be tricky. I managed it after 3 or 4 tries. The best tactic I think would be to save your airstrike for the SAMS at the end. You can be on your way to the evac point before the last mortar falls.

Thanks guys. I think my save is in a bad place though right when the game loads I got choppers all over me. I might have to restart the entire mission and put myself in a better place before I blow the SAM.

I hit several bad checkpoints like that and had to start missions over. Otherwise, I liked the game.

Finally got back into playing this as I finally have some real gaming time. Like this game tons better than COD..

Well I'll tell ya what: I gave up my "hardcore only" approach. Still say that's how the game is "meant" to be played, but I just wasn't getting anywhere.

I'll make a hc run when I've actually finished all the missions, but trying to go at it that way from the beginning ... this game is hard enough on normal, as I'm quickly finding out.

I'm determined to finish the game on hardcore. If it takes me a year then so be it..... I'll just consider it getting my money worth

Had the day to myself and got pretty far in the game yesterday. Love it. Totally my type of game. It's an old school tactical shooter. Lots of fun. My minor gripe is the checkpoint system, but I can live with it. Totally feels like the old Ghost Recon games.

Boo, and just like that back to Gamefly. My "save" is frozen at a checkpoint. No reason, it partially loads the screen is black with some HUD elements but it just sits there. And since they did such an awful job with the save system there's no way out. It's start the game all over, or send it back. I'm too far where I don't want to start over knowing that this may happen again.

Why don't I have the option to just restart the chapter? C'mon Codemasters. If I finish the map in free play will it unlock the next one? I could do that. Maybe I'll give that a try.
