Re: E3 - Operation Flashpoint2 - hardcore fps
I never had a problem with the saves not loading when I was going through with save points. Just curious.. do you have the game saved to HDD or are you running from disk? I have it on HDD..Joshua:

Re: E3 - Operation Flashpoint2 - hardcore fps
It was off of disk. I did find some others on the Codemasters forums that had the same thing, and they had to delete their campaigns and start over again. So I just sent it back to GF today. Really liked the game too. Oh well.PSN: JISTIC_OS

Re: E3 - Operation Flashpoint2 - hardcore fps
I just bought the console version and its really not that good. I couldn't find the mission editor.
Its my fault though. I already have ARMAII on pc, and I should've known that console versions of these type of games pale when comparing the pc counterparts.Comment

A little searching would have revealed to you that it didn't have an editor....Joshua:

Re: E3 - Operation Flashpoint2 - hardcore fps
Yes. Partly because its tough and you will be restarting and replaying parts of missions (or the whole mission if you play on hardcore mode with no checkpoints).
On normal mode I hit some glitched checkpoints where I had to restart the entire mission. Especially the last mission (11) which alone took me nearly 12 hours.Comment

Re: E3 - Operation Flashpoint2 - hardcore fps
I pop it in from time to time. Only two trophies short of platinum, but one of them is "finish the campaign on Hardcore," and needless to say, that's not easy.
I suspect it's easier if you do it coop, but even then, I tried that a couple times, and if I died (hosting), then it's just as bad (playing for 30 minutes only to be forced into starting over) with the added pressure of feeling like a dope cause it's your death that ends the mission. "Okay guys, I died again. Let's start over."
Ugh.
The last part of Mission 3 in particular is where I'm stuck.
Really like the game, though. Very unique (for consoles, at least) and I adore the atmosphere.Comment

Re: E3 - Operation Flashpoint2 - hardcore fps
Yea, its a great game. I don't think I will ever beat the game on hardcore. Its hard enough on experienced to me.
The single player isn't why I like it so much. Infiltration has got to be one of the best modes in a video game. If I could get all my buddies to transfer to this game I would never stop playing it. So far I and one other friend own it. I need to get my remaining friends to come over. They like the older Ghost Recons, so they should at least be willing to try this out.
I told them its basically like a first person Ghost Recon 2, but just even better.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
