Yea, gameplay probably wont see any significant difference. I love to customize. I'll play maybe one campaign mission then its mission editor from then on out. The campaign ceases to exist, lol. I haven't had a pc in a couple of years, but as soon as I heard about this and operationflashpoint, I was on the alienware website droppin cash oh so swiftly, lol.

Sounds great...maybe a more solid purchase than arma2? It sounds really tight and very engaging - and I like the damage system:

"As the enemies opened fire, we hurriedly took cover behind some rocks and foliage, but not before we were shot in the arm and started to lose blood. You don't have a health bar in Dragon Rising, and you certainly don't have any magical medical supplies that can instantly heal you when you take a bullet. Rather, you have eight pints of blood that you'll start losing from open wounds and a supply of field dressings that can be used to stop the bleeding. Any bullet that hits you has the potential to kill you, but what's more likely to happen is that you'll sustain wounds that impair your ability to fight. For example, leg wounds can slow you down, arm wounds will affect your aim, and headshots can mess with your vision. You'll regenerate health at the checkpoints that are scattered throughout mission areas, but these are few and far between."

here is a link to the full hands-on

It sounds great to me at this point. With arma2's bugs and technical problems at the moment, this sounds more polished, even if it has less detail - it might be a safer bet. Up until this point I've been learning very much in favour of arma2, but this hands-on...on a 360 sounds very tight.

the only thing that may temper your enthusiasm is that OP Flash will not have user created levels on consoles. I believe Arma2 will.

Really? The original OF for the original xbox allowed for this..

yeah, I think because the developers are different. Not to sure about it though. I guess I'll have to check the Op Flash website forums.

arma2's been getting a bit of a shaky reception though, and there is no impressions of it on a console.

OFP is getting a very positive impressions from actual play on the 360 which is very encouraging. Finally a game with huge draw distances for sniping glee.

thats true about Arma 2. the pc version was released in eastern Europe recently but the console versions wont be out until Fall.

I have watched a few videos of opf2 and it looks good. the guys at the playstation nation podcast said the game was stiff and generic but thats ok. As long as it plays good I'm happy

arma 2 will be fine after all the patches. it sucks but arma was the same way. I love these games and they are both very similar so I will likely be getting both OFP2 and ARMA2 regardless. I really do not think you can lose with either.

I guess... OFP2 is comming out first which is something I didn't expect, so that will obviously get my attention first.

Arma2, I was more interested in until recently. I really want impressions of it running on a 360 though. The thing is, with arma2's need for patching and it's world wide release being pc only for the time being...I don't see them putting out the 360 version until winter really....and there is always a danger of the publisher not releasing it at all for 360, especially if OFP2 is really successful.

A couple of things I didnt like in that vid. When he was walking it looked awkward, Looked like was hit a couple of times but nothing really happended to him. Also the radio conversations sounded pretty bad. Reloading also seemed to be to fast.
