Yup that was what I needed to do. Now the main quest is 10 and 2/3 board quests are 13 so it's back in order since I'm at 11.
if you do need to grind, a good way to do it at the early levels is by getting all the guns you can and selling them to the vending machine in Fyrestone. Selling items early in the game is a good and easy way to get experience.

Yup I've been doing that too but didn't know it gave xp. Thought it was only money. I think I've got a handle on it now, like to have stopped wasting ammo on the low level stuff and use the melee.

You need 5/5 in a skill to unlock the next set?

You only need 5 total in a group to get to the 2nd level, and 10 total to get to the 3rd level.

So on one of the 3 sets, you can have 2 of 1 and 3 of the other, or whatever combination of 5, to unlock the next 2. then of the 4 available, you only need 10 total in any combination to get to the 3rd level.

I didn't know it gave XP either until one time I sold a couple of guns to a vending machine and leveled up upon selling the last one.

so gearbox is beginning to drop info about the new DLC, which is called the Secret Armory of General Knoxx. Link from IGN: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/106/1064991p1.html

from the two pics, looks like a new vehicle, new common enemies and one badass looking boss that I'm guessing is called something like the Badass Crimson Lance Mechwarrior. New DLC will raise level cap and include new guns. Also, some hardcore Borderlands people believe it will also allow you travel to and explore Sanctuary, which is believed to be a town like New Haven. Cannot wait for this.

That was the only mission that I thought was lopsided.
I feel like it could turn off a lot of people thus they'd miss out on a heck of a great game.

The difference between being a level 7-8 to Bonehead being a 10-11 was a bit too much. I know that some people don't like the idea of grinding, but that's what I did. The nice part of that though is that I found some better weapons and was able to come back and take out Bonehead fairly well.

Later on it's pretty straight forward. You might get some main quests that are a little tough, but you'll have a bunch of bounty boards to pick from by the time you're a level 20+.

I agree, I thought the bonehead mission was a little too tough early on, I had to play co-op to beat it the first time. Not saying that all bosses should be easy, but that mission was really tough considering how low level players are at that point.

I got my *** kicked a LOT trying to kill Bonehead! Once I was strong enough to do it, I go back and kill him regularly just for the sport and SPITE. LOL Especially now that I'm pretty far in the game he goes down real quick.

lol, I have thought about going back and beating a couple bosses, but not out of spite. More so because I want their weapons but at a higher level, like Sledge's Shotgun.

achievements for the new DLC announced at the link below. After looking at them, it certainly appears this is going to be a mammoth DLC. The ability to get to level 61 and a new vehicle, among many other things:

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC First Look

The promising new content pack ditches the experimental approach seen in Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot in favor of the more mission-centric approach of The Zombie Island of Doctor Zed. We had the chance to play around with some of the new content and are happy to report that The Secret Armory of General Knoxx is shaping up to be a fun, promising addition to the Borderlands experience.

I would imagine the middle of March seems like a safe bet.

Here's a link to the article from gamespot: http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/acti...opslot;thumb;2

Two new vehicles (a monster truck and an APC!) a lot of new enemies and I'm sure there will be some new weapons as well, I can't wait to get this.
