    DLC Dated

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx will be ready to download and plunder via Xbox LIVE tomorrow, February 23, at PlayStation 3 owners will be able to grab the expansion from the PlayStation Network on Thursday, February 25, with PC getting it the same day.

As with the previous two add-ons, Knoxx will be priced at 800 Microsoft Points / $10.

Per the press-release, here's a short list of things to expect from General Knoxx:
    • Almost twice the size of The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned
    • A brand new class of ultra-rare/kick-*** weapons
    • New vehicles including one that allows for four players to drive and inflict damage and deal out death
    • An exciting story line that picks-up where the original game left off
    • Almost 30 new villain types
    • A level cap increase to 61
    • More difficult villains and smarter AI

I was thinking of picking this up on Steam. Anyone play through just single player? Is it only worth it if playing multi/with friends?

I've heard from a lot of people that the single player is just as fun.......I am considering this after a few friends have been trying to talk me into picking it up.

I got it off steam also Xavier. I know our schedules are alot different but if you get it we might be able to get a game or two in. I been doing the single player and liking it. Not a top player for me, but something good for a change of pace.

um, I mean it depends. The multiplayer is the same as singleplayer except you have teammates plus the enemies and loot are slightly higher level. Of course it's fun to have three teammates/friends to play with, but going through it by yourself is still a lot of fun. I did a lot of my first playthrough coop with a friend. I enjoyed the game so much I went through playthrough 2 and the Zombie Island DLC all by my lonesome. So to sum up, the game is ideal with four but still a lot of fun by yourself.

                  Borderlands Knoxx DLC delayed

Xbox 360 owners will have to wait until tomorrow to play Borderlands add-on The Secret Armory of General Knoxx.

"So looks like the new Borderlands DLC will be hitting tomorrow after all," Tweeted XBL community leader Graeme Boyd, pointing to the GeneralKnoXX Twitter feed.

The PC and PS3 release on Thursday is unaffected.

It's fun playing with others, BUT playing alone is also pretty good too. The game scales up in difficulty when you play with others while it stays a little less tough in single player. You're still going to die, but the over all fun of the game will get you hooked with in a couple hours. Finding new guns, mods, armor, and grenades is fun. You keep wanting to see "what's the next item I'll find and will it be better?"

You'll have fun with it single player.

I have it on the PC via Steam as well. No issues what so ever. And I've bought all 3 expansions.

                          Take-Two: More Borderlands DLC Coming

Touting the popularity of the three pieces of downloadable content released for Borderlands to date, Take-Two CEO Ben Feder said today that more are on the way.

"Borderlands continues to build on its success in the market," Feder said during the company's quarterly financial earnings call. The Secret Armory of General Knoxx was the "highest scoring in the series."

"We will continue to support the title with more add-on content."

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, released last month, was the third downloadable pack released for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 game.

Speaking with Kotaku this morning, Gearbox senior designer Paul Hellquist declined to comment on the release of future DLC for Borderlands. He did say that the developers have considered a number of different approaches to future Borderlands DLC, including a pot luck pack that would include a number of small things that could be sold for less then the $10 the other three sold for.

For those that don't know, the only parts of the game that scale to your level above 50 are General Knoxx and Moxxi's Underdome. Kind of sucks if you liked going back fighting the bosses that respawned (I always hoped to go back and get a level 48 Sledge's Shotgun from Sledge, can't do it now).

It would have been nice if those that didn't buy General Knoxx also got the update for going to the level 61 cap. That way they could scale the entire game again. This way those of us that have Knoxx can go back and not over power the heck out of bosses for the 3rd go.
