Re: MAG (PS3)
Yes, they're old. They're from pre-release, in fact. Nor are they truly "tutorials" as their names suggest; they're glorified advertisements if I do say so.
If I sound bitter, lol, it's because I downloaded them all thinking they were a) new, and b) in-depth tutorials, and they were neither.Comment

Re: MAG (PS3)
Is the noob tube - I mean, grenade launcher attachment any good against personnel in this game, or should it only be used against vehicles like the rockets?
(It's ANYTHING but a noob tube in this game, seeing as it's at the very end of the AR tier)Comment

Re: MAG (PS3)
I had it used on me several times when I was playing Sabotage in the beta. Seemed very effective in clearing people off the objectives.Comment

Re: MAG (PS3)
how do these people get so many points ?? Like 1,000 + sometimes. Do you get points for defusing a bomb ?My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: MAG (PS3)
Also, the people who have gone to level 60 and used veteran mode (like MW2's prestige - they start over, basically) get an XP bonus at the end of the game - something like 10%.Comment

Re: MAG (PS3)
If you get on a squad with an extremely active Squad leader, 1000 points rounds are easy enough to get. When you're able to get points for kills, revives, heals, repairs, capturing objectives, etc, then you also get extra XP for fragos set by your squad leader. When I'm squad leader, I make sure to keep updating the fragos (and try to get my squad as much frago points as possible). You'd be surprised how many points you can rack up while defending on Domination mode, especially if you continuously tell everyone to repair certain gates, defend the objectives, etc.Comment

Re: MAG (PS3)
Up to level 21, and have NO points in any weapons (very proud of that). My current skills are:
Electronics: Acoustic Locator, Explosives Detector, Sensor Jammer, Motion Sensor
Support: Med Kit, Resuscitation, Imp. Resuscitation
My plan is to get Improved Repair next (1 point), then work my way up the Explosives tree to get to the poison gas and the Advanced Explosives (great passive ability for attacking)
My main 2 loadouts now are (both with the M4A1 AR):
Sensor Jammer
Motion Sensor
Med Kit
Reinforced Fiber
Use this loadout when I'm not in a repair oriented squad. Every enemy (outside of improved stealth that are not sprinting) pops up on the minimap for myself and my squad, and I jam any of the enemies with sensors or UAVs for the squad that sticks around me.
Med Kit
Repair Kit
Acoustic Locator
Reinforced Fiber
This is the XP boon loadout. If you are Defending, this loadout will get you TONS of XP just by repairing things and reviving your teammates. I had a choice of Locator or Jammer as the final piece, went with Locator since most of the time while repairing enemies will be firing well before they get to you.
A third loadout I have been messing around with for attacking:
Sensor Jammer
Med Kit
Smoke Grenade
Reinforced Fiber
Extremely useful for attacking bunkers (not sure why people don't use smoke as much in this game). Two smoke grenades on a bunker and 5 seconds get your squad (if they are working together) to swarm a bunker and normally at the very least get a charge on it, if not destroy it all together.
Of course, all 3 of these loadouts are team based. If the squad/platoon/company isn't organized, they aren't very helpful. But I've noticed in the past couple of days a severe drop in idiots running around by themselves.
Oh yeah, deploy into Directives for the XP boost!Comment

seems like the Heavy Machine gun is used quite a bit in domination? Seems like everyone has one.My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Re: MAG (PS3)
I wish this game was on the 360 so I could play it with a proper controller (no offense intended, just my preference) but this is a good game. Playing it on the roommate's PS3, he recently switched from Valor to Raven and so far I've got to say I enjoy the switch. The basic assault rifle seems much better than what it was with Valor.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: MAG (PS3)
Vipera LMG is just the best gun in the game I think. For 7 points you get it, red dot sight and silencer. Great range too for a LMG. Not to mention 64 round clips. My Fan Page http://theusualgamer.net/MyFanPage_Heelfan71.aspx

Anybody have a clan that I could join. I have played for a day or two. I'm valor and I would like to actually join a team that plays as a team. I haven't figured everything out yet. I hope to learn the game with people that care about team. My name is One_Arm_Bandit00.Comment

Re: MAG (PS3)
Got a few games in this afternoon, still trying to get my bearings, as the controls are a tad different than what I'm used to, but I do have to say, after getting the revive gun and properly configuring a kit, I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm only lvl 5 but trying to help out the cause as much as I can by reviving teammates and sticking with the squad at fragos. The game is really alot of fun once you get the hang of it and teamwork is so much better than run and gunComment
