Already played the demo at Target so I'm getting it regardless on how this one is.

If you're a big Batman fan this is a no brainer.

Is it the same demo at Best Buy that was out months ago? Batman fighting Joker's henchmen in the challenge levels?

Please tell me that they would give us something different than a demo that is 4-5 months old.

I assume this will probably be the same or challenge level related.

Im surprised I havent seen guys beating it up basically because its main gameplay is inside of a single space

Yeah but Arkham is huge and I guess one reason people like it, myself included is the chance for other villains to pop in the game the game. Plus the game is focused on the stealth approach.

I would love a open world Batman game though like Batman: GTA version but that will probably never happen.

Open world batman...closest we got to that was lego batman...lol


I might wait a couple of weeks before i decide to buy it but we'll see how the demo is

I already pre-ordered the collector's edition having never played any demos. I'm a Batman fan though, so this will be awesome for me anyways.

Has PSN ever put up a demo on a Friday, or any day other than Thursday? I'm just hoping they don't hold it back until next Thursday because a Friday release exceeds their updating deadline.

Pros:

• Fighting gameplay is very easy to use but deeply satisfying and really responsive. There's a trophy for flowing together 40 consecutive strikes.
• A terrific sense of care to DC's heritage - rivals Bioshock in terms of depth and detail.
• Riddler's puzzles are brilliant and add depth and longevity to the game in an unforced way.

Cons:

• Batclaw might be slightly overpowered, and along with the Detective Vision they seem 'almost too easy to use'.
• The convenient placing of the gargoyle statues stretches believability to breaking point.

Overall - "Basically, the whole game is a class act. The fighting is sophisticated but arcade-addictive, the visuals are stylish, and the Lara-like exploration is smartly done. Plus the DC heritage feels all-encompassing like a big blanket. Arkham Asylum is comfortably the best comic book game that PlayStation's ever had, and is up there with the system's best actioners, full stop."
