yeah, it added extra RAM to the N64, but really only like 3 games even used it.

I like how it mentioned the high price of games due to Nintendo's licensing fees though. It always pissed me off waiting months for a good game, only to have to pay $70+ for it.

The N64 is probably my favorite console ever. Zelda, Mario, Goldeneye, Rogue Squadron, just so many quality games. I broke out Crusin' World the other day and played it with my gf and had a lot of fun (though the game honestly gets old after an hour or so). One little note though, and it sounds like I am probably alone on this one:

I do not like Perfect Dark. I love Goldeneye, but I do not like Perfect Dark. Whenever I played it with other people, I just don't have fun. I know the games are very close to eachother, but I just can't enjoy it. My girlfriend loves it, and I can't stand it.

Damn I played the hell out of this system so much that it ended up sparking and smoking. I played alot with my brother. Super Smash Bros, Road Rage, Pokemon Stadiums, Pokemon Snap, Donkey Kong 64, a MLB game that had awsome cursor hitting at the time, Rogue Squadron, I even had them Gameboy game packs that you put into the controler so you can play Gameboy Pokemon in Stadium. :P Fun times.

YES... fights used to break out over this game all the time in my dorm room. Something about digitally beating someone down I guess! We played this so much everyone knew exactly how to do every special move for each wresler. Ah the memories...

I'm WAY out of the loop when it comes to wrestling games... what did this game eventually evolve into? I may have to try it out for old times sake.

Aside from this it was all Goldeneye and Mario Kart, ALL THE TIME... with 007 taking most of our time. My N64 skills were feared back when I was in my gaming prime. It's probably a good thing online gaming wasn't around back then or I would have REALLY turned into an addict.

Amazing system ad I have a ton of great memories, but I threw in the towel on the 64 about 6 months ago. The system just didn't translate that great to HDTV.

I think World Tour was followed by the vastly superior Revenge. Then later on the WWE titles further nailed the formula with WrestleMania 2000 and No Mercy.

Conker's Bad Fur day, son. That game gave us many a night of drunken/high laughter in high school. Such an awesome multiplayer game.

Goldeneye was of course a better game overall, but I always enjoyed playing Conker's more when it came to multiplayer... Didn't even own an N64, but I palyed the hell out of them at my friends' houses.

Wave Race 64 still has the most realistic water in videogames... not the textures or whatever, but the way it moved and the overall look... just incredible for a game that old (and a launch title at that).

The Kobe Bryant basketball game wasn't a bad hoops sim either. It was better than any of the NBA Lives that were produced at the time.

I see all the classics have been mentioned so I need to bring up some other games.

Banjo-Kazooie - Might be the best platform game I've ever played. It looked like a kids game but was so well designed and so much fun.

Winback - Was a shooting game, a realistic one along the lines of Metal Gear Solid and R6 and it had a cover system.

Gauntlet Legends - 4 player action on this was unbeatable. My friends and I probably beat the game 50 times.

Turok - The original Turok was a classic and so much fun. I never actually beat it without using a cheat though, it was very hard. Turok 2 had a chance to be so classic but framerate issues killed it.

Quake II - multiplayer on this was so incredible but nobody ever knew about it because it was released at the end of the 64's life.

Rarely played Nintendo 64 because I detested the controller design. I don't think a game company could make a controller any more awkward than the N64's.

Also, I still hold a childhood grudge against Mario, for no apparent reason. Stupid plumber.
