I got Saints Row 2, Dead Space and a random game that I will be exchanging for LBP next week.

But I think I'll be double dipping this sale and just buy three more random games and exchange them next month for Resistance 2, Gears of War 2 and CoD:WaW.

I got Saints Row 2, Dead Space and a random game that I will be exchanging for LBP next week.

Is there even any guarantee that this exhange theory that's been going around this thread will work? I'm just curious. Is it like a 30-day return policy?

I would have sworn someone earlier mentioned that when returning it you cant then purchase a game that doesnt show that it was released prior to the sale ending. Im not sure if they are even able to monitor this since you take the return to one desk and dont they place an amount on a gift card for you to spend? If thats the case then it will work without a problem.

Trust me, I take advantage of this every year. And the return/exchange policy is 45-days at TRU.

They started cracking down on it last year. The free one can't be returned, and some stores won't take the games back. Your best bet is to always get gift receipts, and you should be fine. I went back the following week last year with co-workers and had 2 games returned for gift cards.

It sounds like the store you deal with is full of a bunch of d-bags. Just to be on the safe side, when I bought Saints Row 2 and two random games, I asked them to please ring up SR2 as the free game since I knew I was keeping that game. The manager actually said to me "It doesn't matter. You can exchange any of the games as long as they are unopened and you have your receipt."

Got BIA:HH, NBA Live 09, and Lego Batman today. But I'm tempted to go back and get SR2, NHL 09, and Rock Band 2....or...go cheap and stock up on some PS2 games like NCAA 09, NBA2K9, and FIFA 09...we'll see.

Well guys, I fell for this deal, I got Saints Row 2, Dead Space and Socom, minus the headset, they didn't have one with the head set, I have a Head already so it didn't really matter.


The funny thing is, I was at TRU yesterday and the Manager was standing right there, I asked if they got Socom and he said no, and showed me a paper, he told me come back tomorrow at this time wich was 1pm, I said ok.

So I return today to take advantage of this 2 for 1 deal, and there an annoying girl at the counter, I ask for Socom and she says we sold out yesterday, and now I'm thinking about what some of you said how TRU does people dirty and holds games back so they don;t have to included new games in this deal.

I tell the girl Bull, the manager told me to come in today at this time and that he told me they never received it yesterday and she just argued with me and said they don;t have it. I told her to get the manager, she said why, I said get the manager. SO the manager comes and recognized me from yesterday and I said, hey buddy you told me you were getting in Socom today at this time, and his girl told me you got it in yesterday and sold out. He looked like a fool and told the girl where are the copies and she said you told to say there sold out. He tell me to wait he will check in the back, he comes back empty handed and goes behind the counter and what do you know he gives the girl the copy of Socom and says don't ever hold merchandise form the customers and she you told me too, and I said they both got owned.

LMAO nice one FF, I called for dead space and they told me sunday they are getting it BUT then told me the sale ends Saturday. I am pulling this same stunt in couple hours. I am going to go behind counter myself :P
