Uncharted 2 Coming October 13

A number of games planned for 2009 releases have been pushed back into 2010 recently (most notably another prominent sequel, BioShock 2), so it's a nice change to see a game cement its release date in 2009: Uncharted 2 is coming to the U.S. on October 13. Along with this news comes the final box art, seen above sans ESRB rating, and details (via Kotaku) on pre-order bonuses from a number of retailers.

Putting down your money ahead of time at Best Buy will land you golden weapons in multiplayer, including a golden Baretta and AK-47. At Amazon you'll get a treasure map that will help you locate the hidden treasures located throughout the single-player. Game Crazy customers get a "currency multiplier" which will let you accumulate money to unlock bonuses faster in the multiplayer mode for a limited time. And finally there's GameStop, where you'll get early access to the multiplayer demo, as well as the "Revenge" attribute in-game -- something you'd otherwise have to wait to unlock.

The demo will be available to those who pre-order at GameStop on September 9, while everyone else will have to wait until September 30. Either way, the demo will come to a close to all when the game releases.

i already cant wait for this game! i am looking forward it too much i hope it doesnt getting disapointing to me...is it anything like number 1 with another story hell i am even fine with it. this must be my most anticapted game in a while probably up there with halo2 when i anticapted that.

uncharted 1 just sucked me in like crazy awesome story and gameplay.

The official website for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is now live.

In the flash site, you can horizontally scroll around the Nepal Warzone, a level found in the co-operative mode of the multiplayer beta, while listening to one of the game’s excellent tracks.

You will find several sparkling objects lying around the environments, which will lead to different pages on the website. Alternatively, you can simply use the menu below to navigate around. The official website for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves contains screenshots (some never before seen) and several old trailers. You can also read up on the latest news in addition to meeting the fellow Uncharted fans in the forum.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is scheduled to be released on October 13th exclusively for the Playstation 3.

No you wouldn't, because I think even the first game has yet to be topped in some respects.

Agreed, after beating the original three times it can be hard to play other games sometimes because I always measure those games against Uncharted in terms of graphics and gameplay.
