As great as Uncharted 2 was, the final battle just sucked. Not fun at all.

Yeah, I hope they finally get it right with Uncharted 3.

Like I said in my overly massive post after I beat the second game, it's lame that you go through all those levels that are for the most part things other games don't or can't do. Then you get to the last boss and they basically go in a time machine back to Sega Genesis/Super Nintendo days.

Yeah, it felt like they tried to overdo it after the QTE final battle of the first game. Like Blue inferred, hopefully they can find middle ground for this one.

I honestly feel they did it partially because, after release of the first game, there were quite a few people knocking it because it didn't have any "boss battles". I said it then and I'll say it now, this series doesn't need them, and that finale of Uncharted 2 proves it. Great set pieces and battles along with the puzzle solving and level traversal are what make this series great and different from the rest. People bitch and moan for something new and different, then get upset when a game doesn't incorporate something like boss battles which have been around since the NES days.

I'm working through my Crushing run through and on Chapter 16, boy is it a bitch. Nowhere near like what it was trying Crushing in the first game, but still can be annoying. Those "boss battles" is what makes Crushing rather tough, but I had an easy time with the dude on the train with Crushing than any of the other difficulties. 10 more chapters and should hopefully get the plat for this as long as the final battle is not annoying on Crushing.

The final boss sucks, George. But, it not impossible. It's a matter of keeping on the run and knowing the map well and where he's going to be with respect to those tree-sap bomb things.

              From what I remember anyway.

I'm just replaying the game after getting the first two again for Christmas. I'm definitely enjoying UC2 more the second time around. I remember being annoyed by how it was a bit too scripted with a few too many cut scenes the first time. But after playing UC3 last year it's like a breath of fresh air. UC3 was far too scripted imo and from the story to the action UC2 is better in pretty much every way. My only complaint now is that I replayed the game on Normal. Should have tried it on Hard but I wimped out.

Captain Zombie - I still remember beating the final boss by accident.

Maybe I can spam him with grenades during the fight. LOL!

I remember that Rudy, that was so hilarious how you got that to work. I fought him over the weekend on Hard and I was looking for that ledge you had told us about.

I couldn't even tell you what ledge. I was running around in circles just trying to save myself and fell into it lol.

The Boss fight was so annoying, and at one point I had defeated him and then the cutscene froze, that pissed me off so much, I had to do it again. But I really enjoyed the game as a whole.

Just started playing after finishing #1, While I did play #2 before, I never finished. I must say that the opening sequence is one of the best intros into a game I have ever seen. The feeling of hanging onto the train as it's about to fall is GREAT!
