Yes.

Both MGS4 and Uncharted are prime examples of games the are really interactive movies. I've had more enjoyment out of them than most films I've seen in the past 5 years.

I thought I might like MGS4 but I never cared that much for the demo so I never tried it.

It's tough if you don't understand the history behind the entire story. But I've known others to enjoy it nonetheless.

I thought I was the only one who refused to rush through games I loved! Glad to see I have company. I played the first chapter last night and part of the second and it was just a fantastic way to introduce the story.

I made it to Chap 18 in 2 days. Then I tried out Multiplayer and 2 weeks later I am on Chap 24. I might not finish for a couple more weeks because I am hooked on Multiplayer.

I used to play the old ones on ps2 and they were loads of fun. I only finished the original though.

To each his own but I thought MSG4 was a bit of a bore and got halfway thru before I quit playing because I couldn't get drawn into it and I did play the prior games but was never a huge fan. The cut scenes are not incorporated as well as Uncharted and seem a bit disjointed and simply too many of them that were too long and kinda made you lose your gaming momentum so to speak. It's more seamless in Uncharted and keeps you in the moment while MSG4 I thought had cutscenes just for the sake of cutscenes. They could have taken cues from naughty Dog on how to do it right. The longer cut scenes in U2 are welcome because they come at the right time when you need to catch your breath and never too long.

Also found the combat better in U2, was more intuitive and natural. Being a fan of U2 won't automatically make you appreciate MGS4, me being a prime example. I think the people who really enjoy MGS4 are ones who are really into the history of the franchise and diehard fans pf the series. Casual players may get totally put off by it, it's just too slow paced and too may lulls in the action where you aren't playing but just watching.

As for Uncharted 2, all I can say is that its been amazing so far. I haven't actually played in about a week because I was getting very frustrated with it. I guess I have a low tolerance for dying in video games.

I only have 4 chapters to go though, so hopefully I'll wrap it up over the weekend.

I'll report back when I manage to beat this game. Could be tomorrow, could be two months from now.

When I get really frustrated I tend to just turn games off and leave them. I really dislike getting angry in my leasure time.

This game is a classic though, no doubt about that.

thats all that counts.

mgs4 is the greatest game i have ever played, and ive been drawn into the series my entire gaming life.
