The saves are character specific so you won't even overwrite the other by accident.

Re: Mass Effect 2
This thread reminded me, just picked up ME2 from K-Mart in their buy LA Noire, get 20 dollars and a free19.99 game. Need to go through ME 1 first. I was wondering if anyone could offer me advice on the classes, as I do not play many RPGs (mostly sports, shooters, and gta-like games) and am pretty confused about the whole process. This would be for ME1. Thanks!
Based on your description we have very similar backgrounds in terms of games we enjoy. I can tell you I have never played an RPG before nor had any desire to.
Now I'm a Mass Effect geek. I'm even reading the novels right now to get my ME universe kicks.
Have fun and be prepared to get sucked into a DEEP universe.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
You can tell the teammates to use their powers but you can't control the powers like you can if you're a biotic character. Don't pick soldier, it's boring.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Being a soldier only makes playing on Hardcore more fun/challenging. Didn't keep the game long enough to beat it on Hardcore unfortunately though.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
I was thinking about getting this game to hold me over until Skyrim comes out (Cause I beat Oblivion 9 times)
I was just wondering, it's not squad based is it? I mean, you don't have to run around and babysit people do you?
Also, is it a sandbox type game where you can just roam around if you want to?
And last, when you beat the game, does it just end, or can you continue to do things?NHL - Pittsburgh Penguins

It's not sandbox in the Oblivion/Fallout sense. There's a couple planets where you can walk around on outside of missions and pickup quests, but you can't walk around shooting everything like in a Fallout or GTA.
When the game ends you can still do side missions.Last edited by Sandman42; 05-29-2011, 02:42 PM.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

I'm off work this week without much going on so I'm using it to play through ME 1 and 2 as a hero female Shepard to prepare for ME3Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
Just blasted through ME1 with my female Paragon. I had totally forgot what an ****/awesome game the first one was. Even after blitzing the game over the course of a couple of days I am ready to go for #2. ME3 might be my most anticipated game ever.Comment

I'm still just amazed that Bioware has been able to pull off this trilogy with things actually carrying over from one game to the next.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

Re: Mass Effect 2
Just went through the Shadow Broker dlc for the first time. I thought it was amazing. One question though:
Spoiler
Why was the Spectre fight harder than the Shadow Broker fight?
Going to play Arrival this evening.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Mass Effect 2

No, the Spectre fight wasn't just about the adds in that fight. I found the actual boss harder to take down. Her shields were stronger, she was fast as hell and she kept one shotting Liara. I think I might have used Unity 5 times to revive her. THEN there were the adds. All this after her having been shot at and seriously injured after a car accident.
The Shadow Broker just kind of stood there almost. 2 shots from my sniper rifle took down his shields, then some melee. Did that two more times and he was down. I still enjoyed the fight, it just seemed a little anticlimactic after the Spectre fight and the epicness of actually getting to him from outside that ship of his.
As for the lateness, I had just kind of gotten burned out on the console. Except for the weekly 2K Vets league game I rarely turned the 360 on and I only use my PS3 for movies. I've got about 5 more games to finish now until Skyrim is released since I know that will take up pretty much all my free free time until ME3. I'm starting with ME2.PS: You guys are great.

As far as the boss fight...
SpoilerMy mistake. My only explanation that's she was a spectre like we are and you're right, the fight was very ****. They should have done something more along those lines with the Shadow Broker.Comment
