I doubt I'll ever play this game on Insane... but I'm having a LOT of fun right now with it. Can't believe I haven't bought it months ago

I pulled off that feat. Yes, playing on insane was a challenge and, though frustrating many times, it was fun. There were a number of parts I thought I'd never get past, especially the Collector Base, but I somehow managed. Thank GOD my sentinel had heavy warp. Plus, I loved warp ammo and using Mordin's incinerate constantly during that playthrough.Comment

I made it through as well with all my team members on Insane, like you I had to use the sentinel and the tech armor saved my life countless times. I chose Reave as my bonus ability and it really shined when having to deal with the collectors always having 'barrier'. The worst dudes are those things (can't remember) that have shockwave and armor, almost tossed my controller through the wall dealing with them.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Shockingly my bro messed stuff up on insane with a basic soldier. He use the slowdown thing and did massive damage to people.

Sentinel was a cake walk in insanity, only died once(and it was my very first playthrough of the game). that class was overpowered IMO. Still my favorite class though, just above Vanguard.Comment

insanity in ME2 felt really easy, at least compared to what I remember ME1 insanity was. I didn't play as a soldier in ME2, but as a Sentinel, Vanguard, Adept, and Infiltrator, I didn't have that much trouble with deaths. I died the most with Vanguard, mostly because I loved using the charge ability all the time and ended up in the middle of 4-5 bad guys too often.

See, I play Normal on ME and other BioWare RPGs, and Easy on everything else. I like to beat games, not get bogged down with frustration over stupid *** exploding alien collector things with laser beams.

like most games, It's not really "harder", they just give the enemies more health/shields/armor/resistance instead of better intelligence or strategy, so it just takes longer to kill them and doesn't change your tactics that much other than "I need run and hide behind a wall every once in a while to regen my health while the AI just stands there not taking advantage of my weak state".Last edited by Solidice; 02-22-2012, 01:33 AM.Comment

you might be right, It's been a long time since I played ME1 and the last time I did play it, it was on PC, so it could have been different than the 360 version. I do remember dying more in ME1, but it could have just been the way I was playing.Comment

Yeah, I know it takes longer, but damn...on my Adept playthrough tonight I died four times with Garm during the Archangel mission, and two times with the Vorcha with the door sealing thing. I know I rush, but I don't have the patience to "pop and shoot" or whatever is needed. I'm about to start my Mass Effect 2 run after my save got wiped out. I just bought The Lair of the Shadow Broker, is there any other DLC that is essential? I'm thinking I could skip Kasumi but there seems to be 2 others related to the Reapers.Comment
