Re: Mass Effect 2
I had everyone loyal except Miranda when I sided with Jack (and ended up bedding her in Engineering after the suicide mission) in their little spat. And I did not have Zaeed's loyalty when I blew his side quest.
I only lost Miranda. And I really liked her a lot and regret not siding with her when I had that chance.
I guess I am trying to figure out how to keep both her and Jack loyal. I don't see a way to do that if you side with one or the other in their confrontation.
Any help on that?
I am going to start this up again after I finish ME3.
BTW I love the way ME2 gives you a ton of different people to choose from for your squads and all the loyalty missions made this game amazing. Something this game holds over ME3 is that feature and rich character development. ME3 is lacking this, but is better in other area's.Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
So i bought this used for the ps3 and haven't played it yet. I know there is a comic for this that has you make decisions and keeps you updated from the first one. Will I be able to use it since i got it free?Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: Mass Effect 2
I played the demo of this and wasn't real impressed but I decided to get it anyway as I had heard so much about it and I got it for less then 15$. So far I like it I was able to turn the diffculty level down where I don't die 5 times every misson as im not the best at games. I was a little confused on where to go after the normandy walk through as I was trying to get something to happen in omega. I guess you would call it a open world came but I like the fact that you dont have to drive to the places.
Does anyone have any tips for me? I've now got 2 crew members, do I have to fill out the rest of my squad are is that up to me?Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: Mass Effect 2
Filling up your crew is pretty much what the whole game is. You have Dossier missions, Stop the Collectors missions, and Loyalty missions. The Dossier missions are ones where you go out and recruit new squad members. After they are on your crew and you speak to them a few times on the Normandy, you unlock their Loyalty mission which is a personal mission request from the crew member asking for help. The Stop the Collector missions are the "main" story missions. I did the Dossier missions first mainly, and mixed the loyalty missions and main missions as I went depending on where in the galaxy I was. There is a point of no return in the game that you will want to have all your Dossier and Loyalty missions that you are interested in completed, but that's a long way off. Don't forget to probe planets while you are traveling around the galaxy to get the raw materials needed for weapon upgrades and ship upgrades.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: Mass Effect 2
Just follow your Journal to know what missions are out there. It is a little confusing at first navigating around the galaxy, but it is a lot better in ME2 than it was in the original. If you zoom out on the galaxy map you'll see labels on the systems where you have available missions. I can imagine it would be a little tough to get into the story at first if you didn't play the first one, but you get sucked in I'm sure. Just concentrate on the Dossier missions, talk to lots of people and explore the planet that the mission is on, and you'll start to get the hang of it.

Yeah i don't know all the details of the story but I believe I know enough to know whats going on. I'm sure at some point I'll go back and find out what happend with the first one.I can see where I would get attached to the characters as I already am to Miranda but thats prob more bc her role in chuck lol. I was vey confused on the galaxy map at first but I think I'm getting the hang of it.
What type of person do most people play with? I went with the solider that was a better shooter.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

I played as a soldier as well. I just prefer that class. Something I didn't realize or remember was that soldiers don't use the submachine guns (SMG) and I used a lot of raw materials upgrading those early in the game. Sure it benefited by squad members, but had I thought about it I would have used those materials earlier in the game to improve other areas.

Re: Mass Effect 2
simple answer for the IFF mission. It's the "point of no return" mission. so you should complete all the side quest you have pending at the moment before doing it, unless your just eager to beat the game by that point.Comment
