I'm still playing mass effect 2 and still enjoying it more then I thought i would. I'm close to the 20 hour mark and the IFF missions are now available. I'm waiting to do them till I get the side loyalty quest done like someone here said to do. How long once IMO the IFF till the game is over?

Yeah Overlord can be completed before the game ends, I remember when I went through it, it was like a semi scare fest...Comment

Re: Mass Effect 2
I think it took me 30 hours to complete the game including all the side missions and the Shadow Broker DLC. I did the Overlord and Arrival DLC after the game, but I think Overlord should have been done during the main game, definitely not Arrival though, pay that after the main game.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

Re: Mass Effect 2
Well I'm finally done with this and can't believe I like it as much as i did. At first I was mostly just into the gameplay but as It went on I got more into the story and understood more about where to go. Now I need to go look and see how my ending compares to others as I believe they are diffrent. Also trophies must be easy to get on this as I got 51% of them.
I'll be getting ME3 for sure, so how does how things went on my game effect ME3? I heard all th e stuff about the ending. Also whats the benefits of doing stuff after I beat the game?Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

ME3 really goes full circle on the trilogy with some of the characters from the first game that you just have a few scenes with in ME2. I didn't play the interactive Genesis comic book that is suppose to catch you up on ME, so I'm not sure how much they got you into Ashley/Kaiden, Liara, Wrex, etc. Did you do that interactive comic? I just have a few hours left on ME3 (I'm at 37 hours now), so I haven't gotten to the end yet. I'm hoping it doesn't put too much a damper on the series for me like so many other people have said.

Re: Mass Effect 2
ME2 only has 1 ending. The only things that carry any importance in ME3 from ME2 are the recruitment/loyalty missions, results of the suicide mission, and the story-based DLC you may or may not have purchased.
Oh, and if you bought the surgery upgrade and used it. None of the smaller random
missions carry over.
What all stuff do you have left on ME2 after beating it? If you haven't done Arrival, do that before you start ME3. The Shadow Broker DLC was pretty fun too if you didn't do that. I really like Liara, but I'm not sure how tied you are to her since if you didn't play ME1 (I'm assuming). You can choose to import your ME2 Sheppard into ME3, so the more you do with him in ME2, the more he is leveled up in ME3.

On thane's I wasnt paying attention and didnt know I only got one chance. I did Jack's and completed it, but something happen I guess bc I did'nt gain her trust also both of them died. So on ME3 will I have to recruit new members to take the place of the people that died for me?
I haven't bought any of the DLC just the ones that came with a used copy of PS3 which I think is just overload. I didn't get the comic that closes the gaps I wanted to but it was gonna cost more the what I payed for the game so I passed.
I didn't do the shadow booker quest I tried but I couldn't figure it out so I moved on to something else. I also did very little of the probing for planets and exploring anything that didn't have a main mission or side quest. I remeber Liara though your right I didnt know who she was. I did to the side quest of hacking something for her.

SpoilerIn a way, you pretty much saved yourself from suffering through my two biggest disappointments as far as ME3 crew goes. Thane and Jack never join the party in ME3 even if they're loyal. Thane has a somewhat good reason I guess. But Jack? *sigh* Oh well.Comment

I was the same as u just picked it up bc all the rave reviews and figured for the cheap price tag it was worth the shot. It was overwhelming and took me about 10 hours in to figure out everything.Retro Redemption - Starting over with a oldschool PowerBone Offense

SpoilerJack and Thane aren't party member in 3. I don't think Thane is in the game at all. You run into Jack a couple times but IMO you want be missing much without her.Gamertag and PSN Mrclutch1013

Re: Mass Effect 2
If I remember right the comic and Shadow Brooker mission are part of the Cerberus code that comes with the game? That's probably why you couldn't figure the Shawdow Brooker Mission. On your party members

Spoilerhis time to die has come-you can be involved in a conversation between him and his son-and he also is the one to fight off Kai Leng when you first run into himComment

Re: Mass Effect 2
The thing that really drew me into the game were the character missions and the suicide mission. That first Garrus mission is badass.
