Well then people like you need to get with the times or be happy with what you're getting. It has been known for awhile that they were planning on having more DLC so this isn't a surprise. You're getting the whole story, you just can't get the extra stuff.

And if paying full price is such a big deal(even though you're getting a full game), then wait and buy it used.

I thought they confirmed 3 in the Mass Effect series?

3 for this story arc.

Nothing is official obviously since we still have the 3rd game to go but they said they want to continue making games in the ME universe.

I like DLC just as much as the next person, I just think the timing is what brings about my hesitation. I think its mostly to deter used game sales, but Bio/EA are gonna have to deal with this side of it too. I bought DAO day 1 but had the hardest time getting the Blood Dragon Armor(only to have it swiped when I got kicked out of Ostagar), I had to reopen my EA account from years ago that was tied to my gametag. This type of DLC is more of a hassle. Put it in the game and give me a code to unlock it(ie Madden ONline Franchise).

Yep, that's what I meant. If they were going with a non-human character for ME4, I hope it would be a Turian. That would be awesome.

If they are going to go with a non human character I would hope that you could choose which race. While I like them all, having options is much better. You could go with the multiple origins like in Dragon Age.

Yea they could have a prequel with the Turians...I think it could be very interesting if they did a game on the first contact war...could probably do a game after Shepard too...never know what could happen..if he dies...or they could just turn to someone else...

No, its Free of course I'll get. But having to contact EA, then Bioware, to get the armor makes it not free anymore. I just don't like the precedent that is being set by this. But is the second one gonna be free as well? I want the new car and planet too. EA's recent history with DLC (Madden nickel and dime add ons) mixed with ME's history (pinnacle station) This is the start of something bad.

You had to contact them due to an issue with what was or was not linked to your gamertag. I've had zero issues like that so basically that's on you not EA etc..
If you were set up correct it wouldn't be an issue.
That aside what DLC has had a fee that was required to get purchased to make the game playable? None.
If you feel like you shouldn't have to buy it then don't buy it.

We'd all like the DLC to be free but that simply isn't going to happen. Without the DLC it's not like it would be 100% on the retail disk. It would simply be put on add-on disks and sold at stores like they still do along with the DLC.

I hope my local rental place gets it so I can find out my Wrex status and finish my other ME 1 character before I own the game. Though the only game they've put out before release recently was GH Van Halen.

Anybody know how long ME 2 main quest is supposed to be? If I remember my last play through for ME 1 clocked in at a little over 24 hours.
