Can't believe how bad the controls are... absolutely atrocius. Can't even backup or strafe sideways while shooting (unless I'm missing something terribly obvious). I don't mind that you can't run and shoot... But having to stop moving entirely to shoot or even swing your knife is just ridiculous. I was thinking about buying this game but not now.

nope....just tried the demo and it really was bad. All my complaints are basically the same as the poster GOH from 2 posts up. Clunky ncontrols and u can't walk while aiming or knifing ? very very bad.

I've been disappointed in 2 demos in 2 days from what looked to be like sure-fire good games .

Fear 2 - game was ok but wasn't as crisp as original Fear

RE 5 - just blew

I actually played RE4 a few times. Something just feels off with RE5, not sure what it is.

I played this today and i wasn't impressed that much. The graphics are great but as a lot of you said the controls are bad and the camera is terrible. I kept thinking to myself while playing that why they didn't stay with how they made the first RE games, i loved them so much.

Is a slow paced game and the controls feel like any other RE game...so it is no biggie to me....the game is tight and a first day purchase for those RE fans....that know about how the game controls

This is going to be another great addition to the series. The graphics are very good. Gameplay is solid. The controls are simple and easy to learn as they are identical to RE4 so if you played that game then it shouldn't be an issue. The camera is the only thing I didn't like. The over the shoulder view is fine and all but its poorly done.
My prediction is that this will be the 2009 game of the year unless something that hasn't been announced yet comes out and blows everyone away.

Played the demo at my homeboy's house and this is definitely a first day purchase for me. And I agree with everybody else about the Controls. The same as RE4 so unless you've never played that, then the controls should not be that difficult.

Can anybody tell me if the alternate control scheme is usable in the demo? I remember the developers talking about making another scheme similar to Gears of War (that might be the whole weapon d-pad switching thing though).

The camera is a huge problem, it is way too up close. It was not like that in RE4...........your field of vision becomes screwed up.

I tried to play the demo, but just couldn't get into it. Didn't like the camera angles and the Gameplay wasn't good to me.

wow, looks like some mixed early reviews. Gonna have to download it later and try it out. I'll probably end up getting it, I'm a huge fan of the RE series.

Not being able to move and shoot at the same time is dumb. Wasn't that good to me. Maybe I'll give it another try, but so far, bargin bin buy.
