I bought a new 1600 point card online the other day and was looking for some new stuff to try. Most of the Xbox Live Arcade games are garbage, so I checked out the community games for the first time. Believe it or not there is actually some pretty good stuff in there, and a lot of it you can get for 200 points. I ended up buying the following games:
Being: An awesome platformer. It sort of reminds me of Mario. You do a lot of jumping around, finding keys, and unlocking doors. There's stuff that can kill you and you can fall to your death. It's a lot of fun, but it can be frustrating too because if you make a mistake before a checkpoint you have to start back over. Very well done game.
Zoomaroom: It's somewhat similar to Being but different enough that it was worth me buying.
ZP2K9: This is a multiplayer shooter where you run around levels picking up different guns and blasting whoever stands in your way. Although I think the sword is my favorite weapon lol. When I first got it I didn't know what to think, but got into a fun room and wasted an hour. It seems like there are always people playing this.
Jackpot Stadium: This is like pinball meets air hockey. Great game, the only downside is that it has no multiplayer. I hit up the creator online and he said that they would add it if the game does well enough.
I have some points left so I'll probably scoop up some more games tonight if the demos are fun. If they're worth mentioning I'll drop my thoughts in here. If anyone else has any decent ones let me know.
