Just got it in from Gamefly. The game is amazing, on chapter VI now. Some of you guys doing hard free aim?! I could never do that.

Cant wait till the end! (Except I will be sad because it is such a good game)

What are the numbers like online? I haven't played in over a month and was wondering if you guys struggle to get into games with enough people cause it seemed kinda dead when I last went online

That is why I am trying gamefly out. I live near a distribution center so it takes 2 days to get a game and they have fastreturn which means they will send your next game when your other game is scanned at the post office showing they have it (I live near a post office so I take it down there myself and get them to scan it).

If you do not wanna play the multiplayer or the online does not have many people, you can just rent it, finish it (I am in Chapter 8 and I just got it Monday, granted I played a lot) send it back and get another. So for $15 a month, I think I will end up keeping it.

You can do a free trial right now for a month and see how it works.

On to the game:

This game just keeps getting better! Never played Max Payne, but rockstar never ceases to amaze me.

PC version was 50% off on Amazon yesterday. I thought it was going to last longer but I missed it. As it is, it's still 33% off.

One of the best games ever played. Finally finished it. Hell of a job Rockstar. They never fail to impress.

Yes. I havent beat the game yet (believe i'm on chapter 9) this is one of the BEST games I have EVER played. The way the cut scenes flow into the story is absolutely beautiful.

I just bought the digital download for $22. What a bargain. Now fingers crossed my laptop doesn't explode when I try to run it!

Can you PC guys let me know how you went running this game? I have a decent mid range gaming laptop and can run pretty much anything. The only game that has needed serious graphical compromise has been the Witcher 2 which wouldn't hit playable FPS until I dropped to 720p.

Is this game another lazy Rockstar port or has there been some optimisation this time around?

Nvidia GT555m (overclocks really well with minimal heat increase)

Cheers! I'm not too worried as I get a good experience with most high end games. Eg. Above 30fps on Battlefield 3 on medium and the same with Crysis 2. It's just that Rockstar PC ports have been spotty for me. I can run GTA IV and LA Noire but it took a lot of messing around with settings.

Also, do you guys recommend using a game pad with the PC version?

PS. 27 gig download...urrgghh I should have done my research there. Its currently downloading at 150kbps so I will be playing in about 3 days...

Sweet sassy molassi, this game is brutal. Usually find shooters stale after the first couple of hours, but Max Payne is just incredible.
