I was going to wait till this thing was half price before I picked it up, even tho for me Rockstar always throws down a slam dunk, but while scanning some used games at gamestop, I saw a girl trading in some games, on e was Max Payne 3, they offered her 24 trade-in, I offered her 25.

I like to think that I saved someone from paying gstops ridiculous recent release used game prices.


anyways, this is a game I might even go online with. last one being RDR.

Finally got around to finishing this game (started on release, took a long hiatus due to CoD and MLB12) and I must say.. what a hell of a ride.

Picked the up finally over the weekend and 2 chapters in so far and looks like it will meet my expections.

In the opinion of OS would this game fall under just a rental to beat the story, or would you buy it? (i have a feeling I already know the answer lol)

IMO, it's a buy, as the story/gameplay are good enough to warrant probably three play-throughs for me (currently on my second). This is mine, and many others', game of the year so far.

I guess it just depends on the type of gamer you are.

Got this used yesterday and got through Chapter 5.. so far it's pretty awesome. The cutscenes give me a little bit of a headache but I'm having fun with it. I never played any of the other Max Payne games so I'm playing on Normal with Soft Lock right now.

Sounds good to me. I have enjoyed everything rockstar has put out so far and for some reason this game really was not on my radar. Missed the boat there lol.

Gonna be searching ebay now for a good priced copy.

I redboxed this game and it came with one disc, I'm thinking "Okay I won't be able to play MP that's okay." I make it past Chapter 6 I believe and the game says insert disc 2. Really? lol

Probably Xbox 360 problem only, those Blu Ray discs probably can handle this..

Yeah, 360 is on 2 discs.

I don't get why they wouldn't include both discs. They must have gotten a ton of complaints about that.

I want to play through it again for a 3rd time on that old school difficulty. I now it will be tough but when I did my hard free aim playthrough things went a bit better since I knew what to expect.

Yeah, 360 is on 2 discs.

I don't get why they wouldn't include both discs. They must have gotten a ton of complaints about that.

Didn't know this game was on two discs for the 360. I've been waiting for a sub $40 price on this game for either the PS3 or 360, guess I'll just look for PS3 now.

It's 45$ used at gamestop and thats not counting the power up rewards discount
