Am I going to be able to figure out what's going on well enough if I've never played a R&C game before?

If you have the time and money I would highly suggest getting the Tools of Destruction. I think it is a greatest hit game now. It is one of my favorite games this gen.

yes definitely. It's awesome, you should rent it or something pfunk so you can get an idea of what it's like.

pfunk, I just started playing R&C: Tools, and boy is it one fun and beautiful platformer. I kept on thinking to myself a few times that imagine if the Wii did do 720p at the most how much of a beaut that Mario would be. The colors are astonishing on this one and pop all over the place. I can't wait to finish this up to try the DLC next which is supposed to also be good continuing the story.

just beat the demo it reminds of like crash vs mario vs something else the game was pretty beautiful with the colors and everything i think people like this game because they root for ratchet seems like a good charactor i might get it if its cheap but not my kind of game but it was pretty fun which was surprising to me with railing and stuff... sony and there different games lol at least there fun tho

I will probably at least rent it before playing A Crack In Time, don't know if I'll play all the way through, though.

I know it's hard to break out of the mode of trophies, but Tools is such a deep game. It has it's own set of achievements in the game that are pretty darn tough. If those were trophies, I definitely would have felt like I earned the platinum. It took me a long time to accomplish all the ingame achievements.

Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time Release Date

Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time is officially coming to North America on Oct. 27, 2009. Hooray! The latest adventure in the long-running series, A Crack in Time has Ratchet desperately trying to find the kidnapped Clank while running into all sorts of friends and enemies along the way.

i wish this game would come out in November....I don't like that it comes out so close to Uncharted. This, Uncharted and NHL are the games I planned on getting the rest of the year, and they all come out within a month.

Actually, that's perfect timing for you. Toys R Us has a Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale that goes on a week in the middle of October. I don't know all of the ramifications, but I'm sure you can find a way to trade games back for others when they come out (if not there, then maybe Wal-Mart).

With regards to playing time, I know exactly what you mean. I personally am going to find that same struggle looking at this game, Uncharted 2, MW2, GT5, and playing all of the games I play right now with baseball games coming out next March.
