When you're halucinating as Al'Tair and are chasing that guy, what do you do when he goes into the door? I tried climbing up top the tower but get to a ledge with a door and a wooden post holding a lamp above the door but can't get any further than that.

You're doing it right, you just have to get to the top. There's no trick to it. Should be just like climbing any viewpoint or whatever .... Good luck.

Finally got some time to play the game for an extended period. I'm still early in the game but wow, it is SO much better than the original. The first was a beautiful game and this one a little moreso, but the city is so much more alive. And lots of little improvements over the original in terms of jumping/scaling buildings, the animations, the voice acting/facial anims, characters/storyline (started kinda corny), etc. So far the little side missions have been fun; haven't gotten repetitive at all. Really only touching on a small amount of the improvements over the first game - really enjoying it so far. This might've overtaken Batman for my GOTY

I have gotten as far as getting my assassin outfit and a few missions after that. I will say that this game is very well done when compared to the first one which I enjoyed a lot.

I'm still early on, and it's fun. Taking me a little while to get used to the running/jumping again (I've taken some big falls underestimating jumps), and not into the killing part yet, but I can feel it'll hook me soon!

Is anyone else having problems getting to some of the treasure/statues in the villa? I don't know if I have to renovate everything before I'm able to reach all of the areas but there's one treasure chest in the church that I can't find anywhere. I've renovated it so I can get inside but all I hear is the noise with nothing around.

I don't know if you found this one or not, but I think it is above the door when you walk in. There is a loft above that you can get to.

The only other treasure that I can remember that requires an upgrade is the Mine.

My hands down favorite new weapon is the poison.

The carriage sequence with Da Vinci on our way to Venice

man that part was a pretty cool sequence. I'm now in Venice proper and its pretty good change of scenery.

Also for someone asking, the storyline assassinations don't seem to allow you to be real stealthy except

killing the conspirator at the top of the tower in San Gimingnano, taking out archers as you go

but the contract missions are much more geared to stealth.

I went on a gta-style rampage and killed all the guards, then just walked around the city with some mercenaries following me while I carried a dead body over my shoulder.

Can you move bodies around like the Hitman games in this one? I don't remember if they had something like that in AC1.

Hopefully someone can help. I've been searching for the Mars and Pluto statues in the Villa. Has anyone found these last two statues?

Yeah you can throw them into hay piles to hide them or throw them out in the street to get the guards' attention.

Mars is on a wall to the left of the fight ring.
Pluto is on a wall in an alcove to the right of the fight ring.

Has anyone gotten anything significant from pickpocketing? The most I've gotten was 9. Not counting the couriers and theives.
