There's an offline component as well, but yeah, online is the main draw.

There's also a single player campaign (or "story" for a more appropriate term) that can probably help you unlock some other things easier, like player customization options and such. But the online play is the gravy of this game, using teamwork to try and capture the other princess while keeping the prisoned princess from the opposing team at your base.

The greatest part is that while many games tend to have selfish players, in this game it's actually fun and at times rewarding to play an unselfish role. It's not just about going out into battle or heading straight for the princess to carry her back: you need workers to upgrade the classes you have, build a catapult if possible, mend your base gates, or construct trampolines/ladders to get into the enemy base; you need priests to heal you as you are in battle or capturing the princess, and when upgraded can drain an enemy's health from a distance; hell, it's best to have a guy just be a villager without a class for speed purposes to run out of the base to grab cake and feed the prisoner so she is tougher to carry on the getaway (hence the game's title). You'll get points for all of them and they all contribute to the end goal.

Anyone still trying to finish the gladiator modes? I'm working on my first right now, the Warrior. It seems like each round has a different strategy you should follow, and you need to use both versions.

Example: Use the shield to block the arrows, then walk up to the archer and kill him. But if there is a mage, use the spear to take him out quickly, because he can take you down to 1 heart really quick. Killing Dark Priests is of the most importance, because they drain your life, so go after them immediately.

I've made it to round 9/12 so far.

I fire up Gladiate mode every once in a while, but I usually get frustrated with it pretty quickly. I don't see any way you are supposed to be able to beat 12 rounds of it, usually around Round 10 it gets to be impossible .

This game is a blast online. I absolutely love it. Reminds me of WoW battlegrounds, but i am having more fun in this.

Played with a great bunch tonight. At least 12 of them had mics and we just ran over the other team with great strategy (let me remind you that they were human opponents). We didn't lose a game and I stayed for about ten games or so.

The only reason I left is because the last game lasted about 45 minutes. Our princess glitched so we just held off the other team from getting the prisoner until time ran out and we racked up more points than them. It would have been great if the host just left, but it was this idiot named derPat who just had fun taking the bomb and throwing it right outside of our gate, normally killing himself and blowing up our gate so we would have to rebuild it. He was annoying and I tried to message him to quit (if you don't know, the host leaving resets the princesses which would have been great). So just never play with derPat, that is all.

Yeah man, I've been trying to find some time to get on. Now that I'm not on vacation it's a bit easier, but next Thursday I'm moving back to school so getting on the couple days before and after that will be tough for me to play.

Well time just flew by and I ended up playing for about five hours today.

I totaled 17 wins, 0 losses. I'm now 65 - 10 online and have played for over 23 hours.
