This game could be an another level if they'd fix the atrociously stupid AI and improve the non-VATS gunplay a bit. The ironsights addition does nothing for me.

Other than that i'm enjoying the game so far. Still very enjoyable to to blow enemies apart using VATS.

        Re: Fallout: New Vegas

I had my first freeze up last night after about 4 hours of play (I've got about 7 hours total in). I was done for the night and had just saved so it wasn't too bad. Thought I'd do a little exploring and then it froze on me. Overall I'm really enjoying the game, reminds me a lot of Fallout 3 and I loved that game.

Does the Mojave wasteland feel smaller then the Capital wasteland to anybody else? Not sure why but it doesn't feel like there is as much to explore.

I almost forgot how much a hate those f***ing radscorpions. Just about got killed last night by a group of four of em.

Sorry I was trying NOT to spoil anything. If I did, I apologize and will delete/edit my last two posts.

Iron Sights are terrible to me as well, except for the Cowboy Repeater which is pretty awesome with the Iron Sight.

Not directed at you! Just in general as I may not be cracking mine open for a bit but like seeing impressions.

              http://kotaku.com/5668736/fallout-ne...patches-coming

We just received comment from Fallout: New Vegas studio Bethesda about reports of bugs in the new game. Patches are coming, they say.
              Update to this: http://kotaku.com/5668552/fallout-ne...has-bug-issues

Patches are coming. Pete Hines, marketing man at Fallout studio Bethesda Softworks, tells Kotaku that "We are currently working on releasing patches/updates as quickly as possible for Fallout: New Vegas, for all platforms. Announcements regarding the patches are forthcoming." He advises anyone seeing this head-turning bug to re-verify their files on Steam, as the issue is due to a "corrupt mesh file." Also notable: The head-turning bug here was highlighted two days ago in a blog post by one of the game's producers, who identified it as a known bug that was "eradicated" prior to the game's official release.

from what I have gathered, NCR armor will cause your game to freeze up ...no freezes at all until I repaired some, 3 straight since , gonna go see if I can drop it and stop the freezing

                    Re: Fallout: New Vegas

I played for about 3 hours total yesterday and it definitely gave me the fallout itch again. I can't wait to go back in there and scavenge everything that I see. I have no problem robbing from anyone. The familiarity of FO3 lets you pick this game up quickly.

The one thing that I absolutely love so far is the Reputation System. Its better than the Fable system and it is a system that I was hoping Red Dead had. To sum it up everyone group is neutral with you. You do something wrong, then they start to dislike you. You help them, they help you. If I can recall there are six stages of like and dislike that you can achieve with the group.

I wanted this one NPC's gun and he was harassing someone so I took it by force. I thought I was going to have the entire town shooting at me, like FO3 did, but instead the person that was being harassed pretty much said "Why did you do that for?" and really had no problems with my use of deadly force.

But now I can't walk around that group of people that I developed a bad rep for (unless I wear their uniform) without them trying to kill me. I am currently developing a plan to wipe them all out.

On the flip side, I had opportunities to help them. So right away, re playability is very high.

Question time: Did anyone pick the Wacky Wasteland trait?

I did and I haven't seen anything yet.

I don't think I've had any trouble with NCR armor freezing my game. My game has only frozen once though in my eight hours of play time.

I finally got a house... or at least a place that I can call home that I officially own. Thank Goodness I don't have to get ripped off by all the dealers any more and can store my stuff.

I did... I just don't know for sure. There were two things I saw that might have been due to the perk.

I saw a bunch of ants take out a Giant Radscorpion.

And also saw a battle going on between Caesar's Legion and the NCR on one of the highways. The NCR dominated them, and I looted all the Caesar's legions guys and got a bunch of weapons and armor... had to sell it for cheap though because I had no where to store it at the time.

This hasn't happened with any other games I own, I tried NBA 2k11 and several others, all fine, no errors. I've never even had a "disc not readable" error before in the many years of playing xbox. It happens at the loading screen right after the opening cinematic, just before you get into playing the game.

...I even installed it to the HD and it still does that. I don't get it.
