Which component cables should I get?

Re: Which component cables should I get?
I have the XBOX HDTV Pack for the xbox. I have component cables for the TV but I haven't figured out how to get it to work with the Directv receiver so I'm using an S-Video cable (Acoustic Research S-Video and Component Cables)"Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

Re: Which component cables should I get?
I was in the same dilema as you a few months back when I got my 55 inch wide screen HD tv. I went with the monster cables (Component) for XBOX. At the time they were around $60. Colors are very vivid and clear with this cables. Some say that you can get the XBOX HD pack ($19.95 retail) and they will be fine to. I just didn't want to skimp. I paid $2600 for the tv, whats an extra $40?Comment

Yeah, I hear ya' I had the Monster cables as well, but I broke one of the connectors and while they were being repaired I picked up the MS HDTV pack on sale. No huge difference, but the nice thing about the MS pack is that you can upgrade your cables if you aren't happy with the quality or you want better than Monster.Comment

Yeah that doesn't really make sense. Don't you have a few sets of component inputs for your tv?Comment

Although a bit overpriced, I don't think I'll need anything better quality wise than monster cable component cables. I hear that the only thing better is stuff from cable specific companies such as "BetterCables.com" or other mom and pop type of cable companies.Comment
