The patch shouldn't affect anything that would hinder your ability to get any of the trophies, though. None of the trophies involve multiplayer tasks and none of them involve you achieving a set score.

Man, the multiplayer games are freezing like crazy today - I hope that's priority one on their patch list. Hard crashes - the type where you have to power off the PS3 - suck.

Never had a freeze in single-player, thankfully.

I had a few hard freezes the first night it came out - that is bad. I don't want to risk the life of my PS3 for playing online.

Nice that they are trying to remedy the issues with El D.

El Dorado is definitely my best table right now, I broke 3 million on that one today for the first time.

V12, meanwhile, is a disaster for me.

I've had some freezing issues with the game. Today, I had four consecutive times where the screen went black after the introductory stuff. The music started playing but the menu never came up. That had happened to me once before on the day I bought the game, but never before until today. Finally, I signed out of PSN and it started up fine, so I don't know what the deal was. Has anyone else experienced this?

I haven't had any issues like this with the game so far.

I've been in a slump lately with this game. Last night I played Shaman for about an hour and couldn't muster more than a couple million each go-round. It was like the ball was magnetized to those outlanes.

Yup - the right outlane is killer on Shaman, just as the left is on several other tables. And the way to avoid it is by being very careful with one shot in particular - the right flipper to left side of the playfield. If you hit the skull target near the left ramp, the spin will often steer the ball straight back and into the right outlane. Personally, I try to avoid any and all shots at the left side ramp unless I have a kickback on the right or ball saver active - it's just too easy to nail that skull on accident. I try aiming for the left orbit instead - it's a pretty safe shot and not too hard to make once you've got the timing. Once I have kickbacks, it's open season - I just fire the the ball at whatever I can score highest with.

This is one of the ways I was able to have that monster ball that got me the best one minute score. All 50 million+ happened on one ball, and it was just a matter of patience until I got the kickbacks.

This has happened to me twice. Both times it loaded up fine the next time that I started it up.

This game is easily the best $10 I've spent on PSN....ever. Shaman has got to be my favorite table; I think it's just setup better than the others, and the tasks you need to complete for scoring seem to make more sense...to me at least.

If you like pinball, I read there's one coming out this summer, with real tables from years past. The only one I remember from the short preview was Pinbot. Not sure if it's going to be worth the price of a full game, but it's nice to see some re-creations of real life tables coming out. Now if we could just get some Twilight Zone or Medieval Madness....

Just put up almost 7.5 million on El Dorado, pretty pround of that. I had almost 5 million on my first ball, which was already enough to beat my all-time high.

Highest Ive gotten so far on V12 is 10 mil, followed by 8 mil on Shaman. Great game indeed.

Would love to see pinball revisited more on consoles and not with the rehashed very old pinball games either. There are plenty of great classic pinball games to emulate, I dont want to see the 1950s-1970s emulated anymore like some of the other games released.

Wow, I thought that score would stand for a lot longer.

This game is so addicting. And I'm finally starting to (somewhat) get the hang of it. I'm figuring out the Tesla table in addition to El Dorado. V12's going to take me awhile though.

I think I'm going to be playing this game for a very long time. In the last two weeks, this game and RB2 are just about the only games I've played.

Whoever designed the V12 table just flat out sucks. I find it impossible to get anything close to resembling a respectable score on it. My high score is 2.2 million, and about 95% of the time I play I don't even break 1 mil.

I'm still trying to figure out how DEFT got 21 million on V12. STEROIDS!!!

EDIT: Of course, the game after I posted this I set a new high score at 3.4 million. I guess I should whine and complain more often.

EDIT 2: And would you believe it, the very next game I scored 14 million! The key is obviously getting high speed combos (5x ramps in a row, 1.9 million each time).
