    I know a lot of people are making fun of goh, but I'm sorry, it's just bad game design to have a game give the pretense of auto saving, then requiring you to save and quit in order to save your progress. This is a console game, people turn off consoles when they're done playing. At least they should make it easier to figure out where to go if you think you've lost your save. This is an awesome game, but this is horrible design.
    In my opinion they don't give the pretense of auto saving since the game just says checkpoint. In most games that save at a checkpoint you usually get a screen that says "Such and such icon is displayed on the screen when it is saving." I may also just be used the Halo save system too.

      I guess I think of my console like I think of a PC. I don't just shut off the power in the midst of what I have booted up. I save and exit each game back to the main menu, then to the console dashboard, then I shut down. And i've never had a problem with lost saves.

      The only thing about REach that kinda bugs me is the re-spawn locations in MP. Now that i've beaten the campaign a couple of times i've been spending some time online. And i'll often get re-spawned right in front of enemies and right in their line of fire.

        I downloaded some stupid "Super Toilet" map. All you do is dive into a Toilet Bowl. I've also downloaded a lot of great race tracks, definitely 100x better than Halo 3's race tracks.

          Then why have a checkpoint if progress isn't being saved? I finally got used to it, but it's bad design. They've gone against the whole language of console gaming by using this system.

            Here's a glimpse of a space station I'm working on in Forge. I named my map "Fly Me to the Moon."

                Pretty positive you don't lose your progress, because you didn't save and quit. Yes, it reverts you back to the beginning the next time you resume campaign, but if you click on mission, you should be able to choose the last one you played. You will likely have to play that mission from the start again though.

                Edit: Whatever you do, don't start over or play a prior mission, because that will overwrite your progress.

                  Agreed on Cage being the worst map. There's no where to move on the map which it makes it nearly impossible to avoid grenades and the spawns are bad. Also Pinnacle can be very frustrating if a good team spawns at the tower. I've been on both the giving and receiving ends of a lot of beatdowns because of the advantage of the tower. I don't remember it being that unbalanced in Halo 2.

                      Bungie Weekly Update

                      And though we’re excited and energized by Halo: Reach’s week one performance metrics, we’re definitely not content to rest on our laurels. Hell, we don’t even have any laurels. But we have already identified a few elements of our online experience that need a wee bit of tweaking. Don’t worry, we’re already on it.

                      So you’re not left in the dark or caught off guard, here are some highlights from the pending October Playlist update, courtesy of Playlist paesan' Jeremiah.

                      Playlist Changes

                      • SWAT Playlist added (SWAT removed from Big Team Battle and Team Slayer)
                      • Campaign Matchmaking (live on 10/15 – You will be required to have earned the Grade “Corporal” to enter this Playlist)
                      • Team Slayer rebalanced to highlight default Slayer game variants and include new offerings
                      • Classic Slayer removed
                      • Removed “Pro” game variants from the Arena Playlist
                      • Removed Boardwalk from Arena Team Doubles Playlist
                      • Added “Return to Battlefield” volume to Space on Zealot in the Arena Playlist


                      Game Variants Additions
                      • King of the Hill (multiple Playlists, including Arena)
                      • Rocket Race
                      • Juggernaut (Rumble Pit Playlist)


                      General Housekeeping
                      • Sudden Death will be added to all Assault game variants, including Invasion
                      • Team Objective will now feature the map Powerhouse
                      • Replacing Drop Shield with Evade for King of the Hill, Territories, and Oddball
                      • Replacing Hologram with Evade in Oddball, Capture the Flag, Assault, and Stockpile
                      • Replacing the Scorpion on Hemorrhage with Wraiths (Hemorrhage Heavies variant, TBD)


                      It should be noted that these are some, and not all of the proposed changes we'll be making to the online experience in the weeks and months ahead. The items listed above are those of the inbound soon™ variety. We'll make some more noise about a potential second October update as soon as the details are set in stone. Suffice to say, we'll be adding some new "stuff" to keep it fresh and we've already begun to dig into some sweet user created content in search of future matchmaking hopefuls. More on that in updates to come. Stay Tuned.

                        Wow no Team Snipers playlist...? I thought for sure it would be in it's own playlist because whenever it shows up in Slayer matches, its voted on 95% of the time.

                          Only thing Im pissed about is no mention of SWAT being taken out of Multi Team and SWAT being taken out of BTB. Loved BTB SWAT....

                            Seriously thought good changes for October, also nice to see there might be a second update for the month. Good to see King in the playlists, no idea why that wasn't to begin with.

                            Honestly, I was preaching with the choir about the tanks on Hemorrhage, but I've gotten used to how to combat them, I kind of wish it stayed. Or, better than the tank or the wraith, just put Falcon's on the map.

                              Did they take the tanks off of Hemorrhage? I've never noticed if this is true. I don't play any game types that use Hemorrhage.

                                The last picture is how I came to winning headhunter. I had 7 skulls and we had 18 already. The green guy had the 4 his team needed. I'm still kinda pissed that he can deposit them while floating above it with his jetpack.
