Are there different difficulty levels? The games of old (I-IV) were pretty ******* tough...so, is there an 'Easy' option for me so I can play it, beat it, and not want to rip my hair out?

EDIT: Honestly, that would be the only thing standing in the way of a purchase.

Yup, there are three to start out, and you unlock the hardest difficulty after beating the game on hard.

Definitely agree on that, and to be honest, it's been awhile since I played Unchartered. The game presentation/direction & voice-over work is what I remember more than anything else from the game. Need to fire it up again and give it a look to make sure I'm not short changing it on the art style / graphics side.

I am playing on Knight (Hardest default difficulty) and I am getting a pretty serious challenge, lol. Chapter 2 is kicking my *** at the moment. I can only imagine what the game will do to me once I reach chapter 12.

Reading this I had two conflicting thoughts, "Jeez, chapter 2 and the game is already challenging?" and "Knight playthrough... confirmed."

blame it on growing up on Dracula's Curse. Still my favorite NES game

Dracula's Curse. Ahh, fond memories. What a great game. Amazingly the only Castlevania game I beat.

That was true for me as well for a long time. Once Symphony of the Night came out on 360, that ended. Then I beat Circle of the moon (GBA) on an old Nokia running an emulator. Thats dedication lol

I am 100% in love with this game. It is beautiful - maybe the most beautiful I have played in a long time. The story is great, as is the gameplay. Anything that can take me away from 2k11 right now must be incredible, and Castlevania is what I am playing more than anything else.

I know it is probably only me, but this is my GOTY so far. I love it that much.

CastleVania II will always be one of my favorites and had so much fun playing that one on the NES back in the day.

Castlevania II was a great game. I couldn't beat it though because it wasn't a true hack/slash game. That Castlevania actually had more riddles to figure out and you had to remember where to go to find certain items that you needed to advance and beat bosses. I was too young to keep it all straight, so I never beat it. I think I was 8 when I was playing that game.

How are the puzzles in this? Are they too hard, easy, or in the middle?

I'd say in the middle. It's been a fun game to play so far.

Definitely in the middle. The ones that are "hard" are only that way because you have waves of enemies coming at you while you try to solve them. Not cheap, but more difficult than just figuring out the puzzle. You shouldn't need the game guide or anything, though.

I'm a casual gamer when it comes to titles like these. Sports forget it I'm hardcore. But I'm not feeling this game. Overly hard even on squire lol.

It's a mix of Devil may Cry Shadow of the Colossus and god of war (only in it's main weapon attack).

The camera should be movable. it is not.
You should be able to aim. You can not.
Framerate should be steadythanks to it having two discs. It is not.

One those games you either love or despise in my opinion.

right now I'm at a early stage and the difficulty has ramped up way too unexpectedly. the game feels unfair at times.

Visually it has it's moment but it is not all roses esp when it goes into top down mode. it details makes everything look dizzying.

Uncharted 2 still is the best looking game on next gen period.even in sports games.

Whetehr or not i continue with the title depends on what happens after this first big boss and me

Any differences between the PS3 or 360 versions? Does one look slightly better, play smoother, or anything?
