      Epic grave-digging, dude.

Nothing for me in the back-log...although I skipped this year's CoD, and I'm taking suggestions for the next time-waster....Halo? Still never played Skyrim (although I hated Fallout 3....just found the combat boring, and I don't like just walking around an area exploring no matter how cool it looks). Of course, with the NCAA tourney under way, probably no time for diversions for a while...

        Re: Whats in your backlog?

Games that I have purchased but not played a lick of/opened:

        - Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault (waiting on Vita version, wherever the heck it is)
        - Tomb Raider (will play in a few days)
        - Some Need for Speed game (snagged it at BB for $10 for the hell of it... forgot I owned it)

I also want to get back into Gran Turismo 5. I also will have three PS3 baseball games (already have MLB 13: The Show and MLB 2K13, and am getting PYS 2013 within the week hopefully). Way too many games now, and I told myself that I wouldn't ever make this happen.

Goodness me. Now I know what you all feel like.

          Re: Whats in your backlog?

Just bought a PS3. The only games in my backlog for it are MSG 4 and Uncharted 2 & 3. I have til this fall to beat those games before the PS4 comes out.

I still have Far Cry 3, Sleeping Dogs, and Tomb Raider to beat on 360. It usually takes a while to beat games because I don't have much free time. And sometimes I will start a game and jump to playing another one before I beat the one I started playing and it takes me months to get back to it if I ever do.

Bought FIFA 13 roughly a month ago, haven't been able to play much of it. Also got Madden in December, played a season in an online CCM with some friends and just kinda... stopped.

Haven't played nearly as much Halo 4 as I'd like to. Been busy with NBA, WWE, and Gears 3. Getting Judgment tomorrow, so looks like it might get buried a bit further...

              Re: Whats in your backlog?

              As of now mine is:

              Spec Ops: The Line
              Sleeping Dogs
              Torchlight II
XCOM: Enemy Unknown - I got about halfway through campaign but I think I need to restart once I pick it back up
              Dear Esther
              Alan Wake's American Nightmare

Also have a copy of Alpha Protocol that's been sitting in my Steam library for 3 years without ever being played. I'd like to get to that at some point too.

My whole backlog is filled with JRPGs.

I'm almost finished with BioShock Infinite (like at the last fight almost finished).

I have Hyperdimension Neptunia, HN mk2 and HN Victory. Also have Ar Tonelico Qoga, Mugen Souls, Disgaea 4 and Record of Agarest Zero.

That is, those will all be in rotation with UFC undisputed 3 and pro yakyuu spirits 2012 (until I get my hands on the new game.)

I have weird video game tastes.

                  Uncharted: Golden Abyss
                  Unit 13
                  Skyrim
                  Dragon Age: Origins
                  Darksiders
                  Dante's Inferno
                  Alan Wake

I haven't started half of these and played maybe a few minutes of the others, except for Dragon Age. I've got 20 hours in that and it's the only one I have a realistic change of finishing IMO.

I've also started new play throughts through Heavy Rain and L.A. Noire.

All I seem to play is FIFA 13, Madden, and Battlefield 3.

                    Uncharted 3
God of War 2, 3, Ghost of Sparta and Chains of Olympus
                    Sleeping Dogs

I've only had my PS3 since August so I'm really behind on most exclusives.

                      Zero.

I do not understand backlogs. By the time you get to a game, you could have bought it much cheaper.

That's how my backlog is. I'll go see what used games I can get for cheap (or look online for good sales) and I'll buy like 3-4 at a time. If I go buy a new game (which is rare for me) I will play that right away.

Talking from a console point of view.

It absolutely makes zero financial sense to have a backlog.

It's kind of easy to have a backlog if you aren't buying games on release. There are always tons of sales even for console games that are newer, you snatch them when you are on sale you have a new copy that you paid cheaper than used prices for.

I'm the type of person that likes to have options. Even though I might not use it or in this instance play a game, I like to have the option to play it if I ever felt like it. Heck I even just like looking at the cases of games im probably not going to play, makes me feel good knowing I have them, just in case I want to play them.
Like I have HBO for Direct TV, I don't ever watch it, but like to have the option to watch if I wanted to.
