As it stands in B/W2... I have 6 badges. My team is currently in the process of being updated but here it is now.
    L31 Dewott
L30 Sandslash (Protip: Get Rock Tomb / Dig and absolutely run through Elesa for her badge)
    L27 Lucario
L20 Zubat (2 levels away from Golbat, 3 from Crobat... Who in B/W2 at least is pretty tough.)
L11 Magby (switched back from Arcanine)
L19 Eevee (caught @ level 19, going to evolve it to Espeon)

The others I have that I am leveling and will consider sliding into my party: Axew (just because Haxxorus is beast mode), Darumaka (I just like Magmar better but you can't ignore how monstrous this guy evolved is), Escavalier (the one I need help evolving, I have the other pokemon they have to be traded with to evolve), Magnemite, and Zorua (you get a special Zorua at L25 in this game, it just doesn't have the moveset).

There's the Pokemon World Tournament which is pretty cool. I've only done the small part of the story there (none of the post-game activities obviously) but that whole sequence and music has to be one of my favorite sequences ever in this series.
I got black and white 1 if it helps.

Ok first off a little info about my party. Tynamo is one of the best Electric Pokemon in the game. He has a variety of attacks and also has the ability Levitate which takes one of Electrics biggest weaknesses and throws it out the window. Krokorok is extremely powerful and the mix of his Ground/Dark gives me a kick *** move set I can set up.

          That's a tough one...

If I were you... I'd keep the Tynamo line. Krokorok as well. The weakest you could easily get rid of is Tranquill, but that leaves you with no Fly.

Shame you have that thing for starter pokemon, because there are better choices out there for all 3 of those main types - but I get it. Obviously you can beat the game using whatever you want if you just level some a bit more, so it's more of what you want.

If you had to get rid of one of the 3 non-starters I'd say it would be Tranquill. Oshawott is the best starter by far in the B/W line, but that's due more to a lack of good water pokemon. Emboar is handily outclassed by Darmanitan, and while Snivy has good defense and speed... I'd take the Sewaddle line over it any day of the week even, and that's not touching monsters like Ferroseed/thorn.

I want a Snivy line with the dream world ability Contrary. ITo bad its not released yet. Man she becomes so damn strong. Best in the game when she gets it. I may get rid of Emboar, I like him but all the fire types in this game disappoint me greatly.

Alos can someone please explain how to do this dream world thing. I keep seeing people getting Pokemon from the Dream world but wtf is it? Like I said above with snivy it seems like its awesome.

              Re: The Pokemon Thread

Basically you sign up for an account on Pokemon Global Link after its set up, you register your game cart (instructions on the site, you just do it through a main menu option), and then once a day (I don't know for sure if it's per calendar day or per 24 hours) you can click on the C-Gear and choose "Game Sync". It asks you which Pokemon (one of your box pokemon) to put to sleep.

After the Pokemon is asleep, you go to the website above. You can play minigames (just easy flash based games) with pokemon that you find when you walk through the areas. If you meet the target, you "win" that Pokemon. After you're done playing the games (you can do it for an hour, over and over - just dont make a wish until you go through the areas a couple times without finding them) you can move through the area again... After 10 moves you go to the wishing tree.

You get to choose one of the Pokemon that you won a game with to bring back to your game, then you exit that part of the website saying bring this Pokemon back with me. After you wake up the Pokemon you put to sleep (done again through the Game Sync in C-Gear), you choose the Entralink option in C-Gear. Run north to the forest area, and the Pokemon will be waiting there. Encounter it like it were a legendary, with its sprite on the map. You get a dream ball, and throw it at it to catch it.

              Poof, dream world Pokemon.

Oh, and yeah. If you find a Snivy with contrary it's most likely hacked. If it's a female its 100% hacked. Even with contrary I'd still take more than a handful of grass types over Snivy. I think it's possibly due to my dislike of the grass starters - though Snivy is my 2nd favorite grass behind Bulbasaur (even though I dislike Venusaur. I do like Servine better than Venusaur.

MOAR EDIT TIME! This time for my first Pokemon Review. Note none of this is for online battling - strictly for playthrough / post game.

              Escavalier.

Holy. ****. Granted, this thing is almost the slowest Pokemon in existence but there is no better definition of tank. It's got a base speed stat of 20 (which ties it with Geodude, Ferrothorn, Togepi, and Torkoal) meaning he moves like molasses. I can guarantee you that in any normal battle throughout the game you will never hit first with him. It doesn't really matter though, his Defense and Special Defense base stats are both 120 putting him ranked 24th and 20th (respectively) in those stats among all 649 Pokemon. Where he shines is his attack stat. It's a base stat of 135 which is good enough to be ranked 9th. It puts him ahead of Dragonite (134), Ho-Oh, Kyurem, and Machamp all with a 130, and Terrakion who has a 129.

All of the attacks he gets and can learn are physical based, playing perfectly off his strength. You can easily go all out attack with him. The moveset I'd personally recommend is X-Scissor (120 power with STAB, 100% Accuracy), Iron Head (120 power with STAB, 100% Acc), Aerial Ace for type coverage (60 power, never misses), and the last slot can be used however. Toxic (to poison the enemy) is a decent choice, as is Return (102 power at full happiness). However, it can also be used to teach it the egg move Megahorn. It only has 85% accuracy, but weighs in with a whopping 180 power due to STAB.

Did I forget to mention? He only has one weakness - 4x to fire. Completely immune to poison, and takes 1/4 damage from grass. Normal, Ice, Psychic, Bug, Ghost, Dragon, Dark, and Steel do half damage. This this is beastly.

Not the greatest Pokemon ever but even with his somewhat limited moveset you should find a place for him on your team if you don't mind slow Pokemon. As for nature... I'd try to get a Brave one. It boosts its already strong attack, and you won't miss out on the speed anyways since he moves like a slug anyways.

              Rating: 4.5/5

By the way... if anyone enjoys those type of reviews, I'd gladly do more. Not that I'm a Pokemon master or anything, but I enjoy the game quite a bit and the little nuances make it even more fun for me.

I'd put them in the thread and keep a collection of them on my blog - if no one enjoys them I'll nix the idea though. This one, and all the ones in the future, would be updated for the whole evolution line though not just the the single Pokemon.

Just wondering, do you know what's going on in the game/understand Japanese? I don't think I can play a RPG game where I have no clue what's going on because I don't understand the language

I don't understand Japanese, but I have an english patch on it. There's quite a bit untranslated but all the items/pokemon/pokedex/moves are fully english. There's a bit of bad translation every now and then, and I'd say 30-40% of the text (so far most of the story stuff) is in English.

I'll post a few pictures up here.
                    EDIT: Pictures!

                    Spoiler

As you can see, everything I need to understand is in English. I've never really gotten too stuck at all, or anything like that.

I think that was great. I know absolutely none of the new Pokemon, so it's both a good read and pretty helpful. It's also nice to get someone else's opinion on a Pokemon. I took a long break from Pokemon, I played generations 1, 2 and 3 then stopped. Discovering Soul Silver really made me get back into the game. But, I would definitely like to see more of those.

I've had White for about a week now, and still haven't opened it. I wanted to completely beat SS and move on, but I'm in the process of training all of my team for the second time through the Elite Four and the battle with Red. I have all the badges, but I still want to beat it all. It's been hard trying to hold off on White, but I'm doing it somehow.

If anyone was wondering, here's my team on Soul Silver right now:

                      Dragonite - Lv.68
                      Typhlosion - Lv.65
                      Lugia - Lv.65
                      Ampharos - Lv.64
                      Ho-Oh - Lv.69
                      Snorlax -Lv.50

I know there's a glaring need for a water type in there, but somehow I've made it through the entire game without one. Granted, I had a Staryu that I used for all the surfing HMs and flash. Any suggestions would be great.

Edit: and I just found a Horsea that I stuck in the daycare. It grew 29 levels in there. Haha. I'm gonna throw an experience share on it and go from there. Maybe it can replace Snorlax.

I haven't played through Hg/Ss yet, so take my opinion on it with a grain of salt... This is all based off what I know from B/W1/2.

Grab a new Staryu. If you're hurting for a water type, Staryu is one of the best in the game because it can cover so many types for strengths and weaknesses. If you have the proper TMs, you can have a Starmie (just use a water stone) that knows Surf, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, and Psychic. That's a pretty solid lineup right there.

That would be a pretty tough Starmie. I'm sure I can go get another Staryu pretty easily. The only problem with that is I've already taught Psychic to a Pokemon (Lugia or Ho-Oh, I cant remember) but it wouldn't be a big deal if I could buy it in Goldenrod or wherever.

My Horsea evolved into a Seadra as soon as I leveled it up on my own. It's a level 40 now. That's a quick fix to the water type problem, and it gives me another dragon type.

If you want, I can breed you a Squirtle or Tododile. I'm using two water pokemon in HG with Feraligatr and Kingdra, made Feraligatr all physical attacker while Kingdra my special attacker.

I know I've mentioned it a bunch in this thread, but I'll throw out Octillery as a water option. Starmie is better speed wise, but due to being part Psychic has more weaknesses. Octillery has two weaknesses (Grass and Electric) and it covers those with solid moves. Signal Beam takes care of the grass while giving you advantage over Psychic as well which it looks like your team could be lacking. It also leans Ice Beam which takes care of the Electric Pokemon.

Mine took out 5 of Lance's Pokemon by itself and was only level 44 or 45 going into the battle.
