They made it super easy with this whole mini game thing. Can max 2 stats and dump the few leftovers in another (gen V breakdown was 252/252/4)

I feel like there's a couple more points this year, but it's around the same spread. I RARELY did it in any other games just because it was too much damn work, but this game... Damn. Cake - at least in terms of the games and keeping track. Still takes a bit of time to do.

Thinking of buying Y so I can use that game for competitive battling, oh god I'm an addict.

Ive never been into the competitive side of Pokemon, but just wondering why you would need a whole new game save to do it? I want to get educated on the competitive scene, this game has me interested finally lol.

Contemplating buying X version or fire emblem next. Just want to see if it is really worth it to buy the game again.

I have always bought both Pokemon games because of the exclusives. Pokemon always offers a lot of exclusives for each version so you almost have to get both. That's just my reasoning for it though.

Yeah I get that reasoning; last time I did that was with Diamond and Pearl but my Pearl version just collected dust really. Just curious if getting a new game is really necessary to be competitive online or not, just in case I'm missing something.

It's done through the DS. At the top of the screen (in between the pencil and text bubble icon) there's a smiley face. Click on that and get your friend code to share / add others friend codes there.

Well I screwed the pooch and killed snorlax accidentally. I totally forgot to save before hand and the last time I saved was forever ago.

My party so far:
Riolu 24 (Wont freaking evolve)
Charmeleon 22
Psyduck 20
Pikachu 20
Pidgeotto 23
Quilladin 22

Ones I want to try in PC but dont know who to switch out:
Abra
Espurr

I have also caught 44 pokemon and just got past snorlax. Lol. I also EVed Charmeleon into Special Attack and Speed with remaining on HP. Any suggestions for Pikachu?

Candy, you have your friend code and everything set up? Would be nice to get as many friends added as possible (you'll want to as well for after you beat the E4/Champion)
