UFC Undisputed, so far. Splosion Man might be up there depending on well the game holds up. I'm only about an hour in, but that hour might have been the most fun I had with a game so far this year.

It is going to be a damn good fight too. It will be quite an October and November this year. Plus NBA Live and 2K are coming out. I think I will just go ahead and cancel everything in my calendar for those two months.

Easily Blazblue. It just dwarfs every other fighting game ever.
Honorable mention to skate. 2 for taking an awesome game and making it awesomer.

Far as tradtional sports right now I'd have to say The Bigs 2. (I can't vote for The Show based soley on the demo)

For me it would have to be either Madden due to the jump it made and how fun it is. LOVE THE GAME...or Shadow Complex mainly because of the quality and value.

I have played all but GF2 and all of them pretty quickly went to "been there done that".
Great games but none brought fun for the long haul like Madden and Shadow Complex...

With that said I don't think the GOTY has been released yet...

Defenitely UFC Undisputed with Batman AA coming up second. I expect all the upcoming big games in the fall to be good but UFC impressed me much more than I thought it would. I truly think the GOTY has already been released.

LOL I put Godfather 2 up there because I couldn't think of the name of the game I wanted to put up there and was half asleep and just said forget it GodFather 2 LOL.

But anyway Batman really is that damn good, no BS ! When I 1st seen the trailers for it I thought oh that is just CG cut scenes, the real time graphics not going to look like that. In reality they DO look like that.

And the Joker is just hillarious throughout the game. Even if you just do main story line and none of the extra stuff, it is still a fairly long game for a single player game.

By far they set the the standard of what an action game should be like and what EVERY game on the 360 and PS3 should look like. I was very impressed with the graphics on this game.

You know if UFC Undisputed had the darce choke, anaconda, heel hook.........you know more then 5 submission moves in the game it MIGHT have been GOTY. Oh and when I found out leg kicks DONT cause any damage at ALL, that dropped UFC down a few notches in my eyes.

How can some of you claim that the GOTY has already been released or that it is going to be a game that is yet to be released? I wasn't even going to give Batman AA a chance, but I bought it and it's one of the best games I've played in the last few years. There's no way to know what the GOTY will eventually be.

I haven't really played any non-sports game that dropped this year. Fight Night and Madden are my favorites of 09.

Add MLB The Show for me and I am the same way.

Wolverine IS about it for me. Thought it was great but I may have to check out Batman.

So out of those couple of games I gotta go with The Show.

For me Batman is easily the best release thus far this year, with Infamous and UFC fighting it out for a distant 2nd place. I wasn't really all that interested in Batman but took the plunge when Toys R Us had the $30 gift card deal. Man was I shocked - the game is simply flat-out amazing and one of the best releases of the past few years. Extremely polished, stylish, immersive. The developer has done an amazing job making you feel like Batman
