As the title suggests........for me it was Command & Conquer. That game really got me into the strategy genre. From there I went to the Civilization series, Age of Empires, Starcraft, Dynasty Warriors, etc.Tags: None -

Tenchu got me into stealth action games and actually had such a big influence on me that I try to play a lot of action games stealthily, even when stealth is not really a part of the game.
I guess technically Zelda got me into it but it was Final Fantasy that got me to recognize the RPG as a genre and actively seek games like it.PS: You guys are great.

Then I played WAW and now half my games are FPS. ALthough it doesn't help that probably half of the PS3's avialable library are FPS.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Picked up MW2 this year. I'm pretty much a "sports only" gamer...we'll see how this goes...it's definitely an awesome game, just have to see if it's for me.PS5 GT: hawkfandave827Comment

Wasn't a big fan of RTS games until Starcraft came around. Now its one of my favorite genres.
Hadn't even played an MMO until WoW and now (sadly sometimes) I check out a lot of them.Comment

Final Fantasy VII introduced me into RPGs. I rented that game every week up until Christmas came when I finally got it (probably about 4-5 wees). What a wonderful game to play.
Duke Nukem on the PC, Goldeneye on N64, and Perfect Dark on N64 really opened the floodgates for me in terms of FPS.
Joe Montana's Football/Tecmo Bowl game on Sega, Blades of Glory/NHL 94, Roger Clemen's Baseball/Bases Loaded, and Double Dribble/Bulls vs. Blazers all introduced me to sports gaming and competitive games against friends when I was very young.Comment

The only reason I got into RPG's is because of KOTOR. I never played an RPG and I've never been a big Star Wars fan but after hearing about how great it was, I rented it and now Bioware is my favorite game developer and RPG's are one of my favorite genre's(as long as they aren't turn-based).Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
