Nobody can tell me anything about the True Crime series. Being an XBOX owner, i hadn't played a GTA game until right before GTA4 came out (where I promptly ran through SA, 3 & part of Vice City - in that order) and I thought those were some pretty fun open world games. Particularly due to the hand to hand fighting which is often limited (GTA series) or nonexistent (games like Just Cause, Bionic Commando, Prototype). I'm also very excited for the first next gen version, even if no one else is (seeing as how every other game that got a VGA announcement trailer has its own new topic lol).

Indiana Jones & The Fate of Atlantis - PC point & click adventure game. Classic IMO.

NBA Inside Drive 2000. It was the first of the series and the only one for the PC. My friend got me this game (directly coppied it to my hard-drive), and I played it for a long time. I also found some website with patches and rosters, and it was so cool. Loved this game more than Live 2000.

Based on this board's opinions, Madden NFL '10....LOL!

I'm going to go with MLB Power Pros (PS2). Great game of baseball hidden beneath a rather kiddy-looking presentation. Obviously did not get the kind of exposure 2k gives to its higher profile titles.

Almost all of the DBZ games, they all manage to get adverage/below adverage scores but I manage to love them all. Same with Naruto Games.

If we're talking about "popularity" versus "critical acclaim" I have a list:

Bully (PS2 and 360)
Odin Sphere (PS2)
Jeanne D'Arc (PSP)
Rogue Galaxy (PS2)
Okami (PS2 and Wii)

While those games all received high reviews, I never heard much discussion on them (Bully being the exception) and as far as I know, the sales were pretty low for all the titles. Apologies for not having any truly terrible games that I loved playing, LOL.

Jeanne D'Arc (PSP)

Good one...that's one of several downloadable PSP games I've bought from the store. I'm not too far into it yet, but it seems like a good game so far. Some of her transformed attacks seem a wee bit overpowered though (talking about Godspeed, the one where she gets infinite turns as long as she kills an enemy...LOL!)

Slightly OT: It's funny....PSP has become my SRPG haven. FF Tactics remake, Jeanne, and Disgaea 1 & 2. You could almost include VCII in that when it comes out.

Way way back in the day, my friend and I used to play this co-op game called Iron Man / X-O Manowar in Heavy Metal. I'm sure if I played it now I would think it's utter crap, but we had some good times with that game.

There are many more, but that's the one that sticks out to me where I'm sure very few of you had ever heard of it.

And then I used to play this cool PC game called Rocket Jockey. There might be videos of it online... I'm not sure how popular that name is to you guys. It's actually still very fun to play today, but you have to do some specific things programming-wise to get it to run on computers today, because I think it only works for Windows 95.

I played MLB 2k8 for the Wii a lot.

I don't know that I loved it, but I certainly liked it a lot, despite it's numerous flaws. I had the Wii version and the 360 version and the Wii version was FAR superior.

If you never played Valkyrie Profile, pick that up too (another remake from the PSone days). The sequel on PS2 is good but no where near as good as the first.

Wing Commander 4 on the Playstation. Loved that game to death and must have beaten it 5 or 6 times. I loved the fact how the whole game played out as a movie with real people on the screen at all times.

First thing that came to mind was Demon's Souls. Not exactly unpopular per se, but a niche title for sure. I bought it basically because a guy on my friends list would play it for hour and hours at a time. Now I'm that guy for the rest of my friends list, lol. One of my favorite games of all time. No joke.

Close in second place is Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. Most people can't stand that game, I adore it.

In recent 360 games, I loved The Club. One of my favorite games releaesd this gen. I know I was one of the few, but just loved playing it, very old school play for points shooter.

Shadow of the Colossus - amazing game
Swat 4 (PC) - this was my intro into modding games, changed the entire experience
