Re: The least popular game(s) you absolutely love?

Based on reviews I've seen for it, I'm going to say FUEL for the PS3. Everyone seems to say CodeMasters/Asobo blew a golden oppurtunity with the game and that it could be so much better. Granted it has its flaws (but what game doesn't), I absolutely love it.

Going back to the Sega Genesis era, when I had Sega Channel my cousins and I used to love playing Jeopardy whenever it would be in the monthly lineup and especially when the sports version was available.

As for the PC, SimEarth was one of my favorite games back in the day. I have always wished they'd make an updated version with better graphics and stuff.

      Excerpt from Wikipedia article

Thrill Kill was developed in the late 1990s for the Sony PlayStation by Paradox Development, now Midway Studios - Los Angeles. There was much hype surrounding the game, billed as the new Mortal Kombat, and expectations were high in the gaming community. The original publisher was to be Virgin Interactive, before Virgin Interactive was acquired by Electronic Arts Pacific for £122,500,000 in the late summer of 1998.
By this point Thrill Kill had already finished development in entirety, and a Californian-based industrial metal band, Contagion[1], had even recorded numerous songs and an entire score for the game. A few weeks before shipping, the game was cancelled by EA because they didn't want to "publish such a senselessly violent game", as they felt that it would harm their image. They also stated that they deemed the game so offensive that they would not even attempt to sell the game to be released by another publisher either.
Later, former employees that had worked on the game released the full game onto the internet, along with various beta versions, and bootlegs of the game flooded the market and were still seen by a large share of its original intended audience nevertheless. All files are still widely available through filesharing, and playable through emulators.

Two Worlds on the 360. Mayhap anyone that didn't like it should give it another try.

I thoroughly enjoyed Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4, despite them being regarded as the worst games in the series.

The levels in TM3 were incredibly small, though.

Lets see where to start, lol.

Ring of Red on the PS2 was one of my favorites, along with Final Fantasy tactics. Coliseum was my **** (think the film Gladiator and you have Coliseum).

I love the current generation Naruto games. Basara heroes is a good one (Pretty much dynasty warriors, raw japanese style though).

Scramble Commander(Japanese PS2) is slick too. Its pretty much a gang of the classic japanese anime mechs all in one game fighting various robeasts. I'm talking from Macross to tranzor z etc, etc all teamed up, I'm a geek for that type of **** no doubt.

Not sure how popular it was but I loved Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds when I was in highschool - would play it online with my friends. Total nerdom, but totally awesome.

On top of games on last gen systems, can you all list games you feel are truly underrated/underappreciated on 360, PS3, or Wii.

Underrated game on the PS3: I honestly have to go with KZ2. I know it's won several awards, and I know it has a reasonably large fanbase, but waaaaay too many people talk **** about it. One of the best MP experiences of all time, and the SP is more than passable - in fact it's rather epic if you're not expecting too much.

I agree with you right there. After the smoke has cleared this is one of the best, if not the best FPS.

Good call. F.E.A.R. is one of my favorite games ever. I need to get around to playing F.E.A.R. 2, but it will probably have to wait until April, after I get done with Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2, BioShock 2, and Final Fantasy XIII.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.
