Re: For Those With Star Wars: KOTOR

I can't wait for Jedi Academy on PC myself...like KOTOR without the story, and hands-on action. I think Lucasarts is really getting it's crap together now. First, they release SWG...hardcore RPG nuts can do anything in the game except become Jedi (well you can, but good luck hehe). Then they release KOTOR, which is very similar to SWG, except all you are is a Jedi. Same type of click-and-attack combat. Then, as players get their fix there, they'll be treated to trigger-happy combat with customized characters in Jedi Academy.

      Way to go LucasArts!

I've heard about Jedi Academy. Is this going to be a first person view game or a third person view? IMO all that customization would be for nothing if it was a FPS.

I've been reading about Jedi Outcast II. From what I gather 1/3 of the game is an FPS. I really want to play this game, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to get through the first 1/3. (FPS games get me dizy.)

                  Jedi Outcast II=Jedi Academy.

The entire thing is a FPS. Only thing is, you start with a saber in Jedi Academy...the entire thing is saber combat, instead of a bunch of levels with a gun to start.

Customization plays a big part for looks...and you also have an rpg-like aspect of upgrading your sabers (want to fight with 2, or a double-bladed saber? Go for it!), as well as skills.

It's not mindless stuff, but it IS a shooter-style game.

This is what I'm afraid of. I couldn't even play HALO because my weak a$$ can't handle the first person view.

I guess what I'm getting at is that if I configure what kind of clothes my character wears, it won't mater if it is in first person view. But I have seen screen shots that shows the player from the third person view.
