    Re: SOCOM 4

    Who can answer my questions?

So if I were to buy this game, as well as the battle rifle, would I need any extra PS Move equipment to go along with it? I don't have PS Move but am contemplating buying it for this game.

Also, does this game possess a glitch-free multiplayer? And how would I like it if I thoroughly enjoyed previous SOCOM titles?

There is a bundle that I bought called the Full Deployment set. It comes with SOCOM 4 and an entire Move bundle for $150. If you can't find that, I believe you need to buy an entire PS Move bundle (Move controller, Navigation Controller, and PS Eye camera) to go with it.

As for it compared to previous SOCOM's: it is a bit faster paced. Standard games (respawn games) are a lot of strategic run and gun, where as classic gameplay is slowed down, but still a little faster than old school. The patch that just came out fixed a lot of the online issues, and made the game much more enjoyable. You won't be using the Sharpshooter online, as it is too cumbersome to give you any kind of advantage, but it is a lot of fun using it offline.

Hope that answered your questions, bud.

Gotcha gotcha brother. I think I'll pass on the Move and just go with the game for 35 bills at buy.com

Borrowing this game from a friend...is it just me or is there absolutely no recoil?

Also, it feels far less strategic than previous SOCOM games. I get the impression it is a run n gun game.

yea, bro...they casual'd it up a bit too much...so they piss off the hardcore, and the casuals play the more popular games.i still get enjoyment from playing...but the intensity. skill, and communication is lacking...

i understand somethings are "sign of the times" but you have to do what makes Socom, Socom...not COD it up...b/c they will always go with whats more popular..esp when the most popular does what your attempting to imitate better. Find your own competitive advantage.

Moses, make sure you play Classic mode if you want it more old-school.

I've had a hard time enjoying this game. At times it can be okay with a team that actually uses a mic in classic mode but I just don't see myself playing it very much. I even went back and played Confrontation a bit this week and enjoyed it much more as it resembles the classic socom feel better.

Hopefully a DLC and classic game modes will bring some new life in it for me.

I prefer Confrontation over this too. This is too fast paced for me, just doesn't havet eh SOCOM feel anymore.

Was a bit disappointed in the private matches. In the past I could set up a room for some 3 on 3 or even 2 on 2 action with the guys I play with alot. Made some great matches. Now we can't start a private match with less than 8 players. That is total suckage. Hoping they make an adjustment to that, though I'm sure there is not a huge demand.

Vic: No Kenny, that's girl versus girl.
                              Kenny: What's the difference?
Vic: Well, in one, one girl wins. In the other....
                              Kenny: Everyone wins?!?!

Hmm, maybe I'll try it out again with the patch but I'm guessing my feelings won't change until the DLC comes out. Played some Socom 2 over the weekend and had much more fun with that.
