    Re: League of Legends!

Sports. Great advice. I'm only level 24 so he's one to listen to.

I'd avoid ziggs for a while. He's actually pretty tough to be good with. He's my main mid.

I main jungle though honestly. It's a blast but requires a lot of knowing the game so don't worry as he said.

Problem with playing with him is that once you get into pvp if he's a high rank, you'll be in way over your head and at a huge disadvantage due to runes etc.

It's an amazing game. Fun as hell. But god is it Aggrivating. Don't give up on it. I know that for sure lol

FYI. Stick with mobafire, I use it a lot. Love it. Make sure it's a fresh guide when you start to learn champions. It is season 4 currently. Patch 4.10

The easiest champion I would recommend to you is Garen for top, Annie for mid. I learned Annie first and she is very simple IMO.

I am not sure when I can be on. I currently work third shift, and I'm gone this weekend to visit my brother out of town, then next weekend I'm out of town for a wedding. But add me and we can meet up sometime for a bots game. What times are you generally available?

Yes, my hidden elo will not mesh well with Candyman's if we play pvp. For bots games, it's fine. If Candyman queued with me in pvp it would him with players at my skill level, and there would be much ownage had by the other team. It's best to stick with bots for a bit, then queue on your own to play with people at a similar skill level.

Mobafire and LOL Pro are the two best sites for item/build guides. I prefer LOL Pro, but like BleedingRed said, as long as you make sure the guide is a recent one then it's OK to look at. I don't think mobafire does much cleaning, there are probably guides there from 2012 lol.

Annie is a good beginner's champion. She can be used as a support (gotta learn how to use the stun!) or a mage/caster. Her ultimate, to get the full effect, requires you to micro Tibbers, which is the bear she summons. Don't worry about, it's still a good ult without being able to micro Tibbers. You get to pick where Tibbers "lands" and where that area is, he stuns enemy champions in place. Very useful.

As for items, you can stick to the recommended builds for now. Every champion has recommended builds in the item shop. Once you learn the game and items better, you can come up with your own, or just find them on mobafire/LOL Pro.

As far as Ziggs goes, yes he's a little above beginners skill-wise, but just being able to land his Q and R is really enough. Learning tricks like satchel charging to evade/engage can be done later.

I think I've referenced the meta a few times. Don't worry about playing into the meta right now. When I first started bots and moved to pvp nobody played the meta. Learn the game and champions first, then worry about the meta later. For example, and friend and I would always play Volibear-Lux as a dual-lane top. Now, that doesn't fit into the current meta at all. But being noobs and playing against other noobs, it worked fine.

Some other champions good for beginners:
Master Yi - a melee assassin who deals great damage and has terrific mobility. Can heal, also.
Soraka - a support that can heal, silence, give mana, and her ultimate is a global heal.
Lulu - a support that focuses on shielding allies. Lulu is so strong right now that pro teams are playing her as a mid/carry and also as a support.
Singed - a bruiser/fighter that is easy to learn and hard to master. He doesn't do much ability-wise, he just kind of runs around a lot. His main ability is poison trail, which leaves a wake of poison that damages any enemy in it.

One more thing. Do not pick Teemo. For the love of all that is good and just, do not pick this champion. He brings nothing to lane, nothing to your team, nothing teamfights, can't push towers. I swear if I catch you picking Teemo I will reach through the internet and slap you (it should go without saying, but this is jokingly, of course).

not sure if you sent a friend request or not, but I have some bad news. My computer is having some serious issues right now and I'm not able to game because of it. I am currently trying to find the root of the issue, but until then I won't be able to game. Sorry. If you are still interested in League and have any questions, I'm happy to help.

Never sent a FR yet. I played a little. Went through tutorials and all but not sure what to do. I may start with the archer girl first (think it's ashe?) I will try the support roll later once I level up and get enough points.

Ashe is easy to start, but be careful with support. It IS easy, but you must understand that you are there to harrass and poke the adc/supp on other team and not go for CS or kills. You leave CS to adc and get the others as low as possible and let adc finish.

You also must ward as a support.

A lot of game mechanics are needed for support. Laning might be the better option as you learn how to last hit and ward correctly.

Anyone play Doom Bots yet? I played two games last night. The first one was on Level One and we rolled through. Then we upped the difficulty to Level Five and though we still won, the game was intense! Just nuts when you have Ezreal and Lux ults shooting off in every single direction at the same time!

                  Re: League of Legends!

Ok guys, I have got much beter.

                  Champs I know:

Ashe (adc) - Im okay with her and wish she do a bit more dps but it is what it is. Squishy as hell. Sniping with her alt and freezing is nice. First champ I used.

Janna (Sup) - First Sup I used and her shield bubble and slow are really handy. Her tornado is good but hard for me to get used to using. Her alt is pretty neat as well.

Jinx (adc) - Wow, I love her. Havent bought her yet but I will. Great dps, attack speed and range. Not as squishy as Ashe either. Her ult is another snipe and I love it.

Alistar (Tanky Sup) - Walking Tank. So much health with added def and health items become a huge wall to stand in front of adc and just protect with body. His headbutt/Uppercut combo I havent got down completely yet and can be a bit slow/bulky but with the swiftness boots it doesnt become a problem. His heal is spammable as well due to it reduce cd on minion kills. I still have trouble with him and still accidentally headbutt sure kills occasionally but for a free champ I got on my account I cant complain.

Leona (Tank Sup) - Omg, love her. First game with her (3/2/25). Stuns for days with her. When she gets Face of the Mountain built it makes things even worse for the enemy team. The blade dash stun then pop shield bash for another stun and activate eclipse for added def and enemy damage (can be activated before the blade dash) the adc should have a easy time. Her alt doing stunning/slow and damage is just fuel to the fire with her stun potential.

I tried others like Shyvana, Blitzcrank and Taric as well.

I went top with Shyvana (First time ever) and ended up facing Cho'Gath (Not fun). Didnt do very well with her but I like her. Just putting her on the back burner for now.

I played as Blitzcrank early in my playing so that may have been why I wasnt doing so well. I really do like his "GET OVER HERE" move and such and seems to be a pretty fun champ to play as.

Taric I used before Leona. Didnt have a item page for him and unfortunately all the recommended items were for other lanes and not sup. (No ancient coin, etc) so I got lost in the item shuffle. He seems odd, I do love his ult but everything else just seems off.

So I think that Jinx and Leona are going to be my second and third bought champs. (Bought Ashe first) Really liking them.

Anyone else still get on and play and Sports did you get you CPU fixed. I also looking at Renekton a lot. Havent played with him yet but he looks interesting and my brother uses Nasus so it be cool to play as him when he is on....lol. brothers in Real Life and brothers in the game.

My computer is working better now. I was able to play Diablo 3 last night for the first time in a while. Unfortunately, I can't get the LoL client to update, it just freezes on me every time. I am working on fixing that right now, so when it's ready I'll let you know.

Also, if you like Leona, Alistair and Blitzcrank, then I think you'll really dig Thresh. A tanky support that brings CC, he also has a "Get over here" ability like Blitzcrank's rocket grab. Thresh is considered a top-tier support for a reason. He's tricky to use at first so it will take you a few games to adjust to how his abilities work. Tip: when using his slow, flay, aim it towards you and not away from you. His ult has a long cool down so be careful of that.

I started playing this this summer after some of my friends convinced me, and I gotta say I'm really liking it. I feel it's easy enough to hold your own against randoms and with friends, but obviously incredibly difficult to master and actually be considered good.

As a beginner, my friends told me to go bot as ADC, and I ended up using Jinx. I loved her at first until she was no longer a free option for me, so I switched to Ashe. I like both, but both have grown unreliable to me with my play style.

My go-to champion at the moment is Morgana as support or as mid. I really like her stun/snare/whatever and shield. I find her ultimate to be fairly effective for me as well.

I'm trying to find a top champion I like though. I tried out Nasus, ended up doing ok for a while, but I decided to refund him. I'm thinking Nidalee, but I'm not sure.

Renekton is one of my favorite tops. Such a bully. Easy to sustain and push other tops out. Can be a little funky to get used to, but not hard.

Of course, I got Gnar and he is amazing, but oh is he hard to use. I would advise against him until you get used to other top lane champions and understand their power and defense, etc.

I would love to play with some of you guys.

I am ranked Silver III and would not mind doing ranked duo some. I have a pretty high MMR so I usually get matched above my skill and get a good amount of LP.
